- 1Rescuing Charles: Inspect the files on the whiteboard to find "The End (5/8) - Robot Puppets." Interact with the large life support device and then the computer. Read all files on the PC desktop, paying attention to the diagram on the far right. Return to the far left and interact with the chain console control panel. Adjust the height of the lamps by pressing the buttons: purple/orange twice, yellow/green once, and blue twice. This will reveal stairs leading down. In the Secret Corridor, examine the courier clothes. Enter the doorway at the far left to find another secret room. Examine the diary, then inspect the Beta Type Consciousness Transmission Device for "The End (6/8) - The Research Information of Consciousness Transmission Device." Speak with Charles, then grab the Crowbar at the far right of the room. Use the Crowbar on Charles' holding cell door to unlock the "The Story of Rescuing the White Mustache" Trophy/Achievement.
- 2Decision Time: You will be presented with two questions. The first answer has no impact. The second choice determines which of two Achievements you unlock and affects whether you can obtain a new endgame File. You can reload a save file labeled "Inside a secret room" to unlock the other Achievement.
- Turn it off: Choosing to "Turn off the equipment" unlocks "The Liberation" Trophy/Achievement and the File "The End (7/8) - The History Between Edward and Luna."
- 3Keep it on: Choosing to "Leave the equipment on" unlocks "The Benevolence" Trophy/Achievement. This choice prevents you from unlocking one of the new endgame Files.
- 4The Final Confrontation: Regardless of your choice, you will need to return to the secret room where you rescued Charles. Head down the stairs when ready.
