Master Phantom Blade Zero's "Let's Change It Up" guide. Learn walkthroughs for stages 3-1, 3-2, and 3-3, enemy details, item locations, and strategic tips for success.

This section provides a short, easy-to-handle dungeon crawl for players looking to acquire items for fusion or selling, focusing on weaker enemies to ease the process. It then returns to the main story progression.

MONETOPIA

After watching the scene with Marona, proceed to the first stage. Observe the interaction between Ash and Marona.

STAGE: 3-1 Gentle Brook

ENEMIES: LV 6 Endure Shade, LV 4 Plain Scrabbit, LV 3 Novice Scrabbit x5, LV 2 Squire Scrabbit x2. On subsequent visits: LV 7 *Fake Owl Ninja (Recruitable Class). Enemies marked (N) stop appearing after being killed.

ITEMS/OBJECTS: Desired Crystal, Weed x4, Flower x4, Pot x4, Mushroom, Brick.

ITEM/OBJECT TITLE RANKS: 1 -> 2

ITEM/OBJECT LEVELS: 3 -> 4

PROTECTION: Mana +50% (Desired Crystal), Experience +50% (Desired Crystal), Weaken 20% (Desired Crystal), KeepOut: Red (Endure Shade).

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    Ignore the Endure Shade for now. Killing it breaks the barrier holding back the scrabbits. The Shade's only immediate threat is stealing weapons.
  2. 2
    Confine Ash to the Pot on Marona's right.
  3. 3
    Move Marona north to confine a mage to the Flower near the 4 scrabbits.
  4. 4
    Confine another character to any other object.
  5. 5
    It's possible to have Ash attack the leader of the 4 scrabbits with Angel Slash; position him in a straight line towards the front scrabbit.
  6. 6
    Once the 4 scrabbits are defeated, kill the Shade to break the barrier.
  7. 7
    Wait one turn for the remaining scrabbits to approach, then confine your party members and defeat them.

After clearing the stage, watch the subsequent scene.

STAGE: 3-2 Peaceful Hill

ENEMIES: LV 3 Spoiled Old Man (Recruitable Class) (N), LV 5 So-so Scrabbit, LV 3 Novice Scrabbit x6, LV 2 Squire Scrabbit.

ITEMS/OBJECTS: Desired Crystal, Weed x5, Flower x5, Pot x4, Sunflower x3, Brick, Bomb.

ITEM/OBJECT TITLE RANKS: 1 -> 2

ITEM/OBJECT LEVELS: 3 -> 4

PROTECTION: Mana +50% (Desired Crystal), Experience +50% (Desired Crystal), Level Up +1 (Spoiled Old Man).

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    Be aware that scrabbits can spin you around and throw you; avoid the map edges.
  2. 2
    The Spoiled Old Man will level up two nearby scrabbits by 1 each turn. Prioritize reaching the Old Man quickly.
  3. 3
    Before moving, confine a fighter to a Pot and a mage (witch or fusionist) to the Flower next to Marona. Have the mage attack the 4 scrabbits with a multi-targeting spell (e.g., Mega Fire).
  4. 4
    Send Marona east, ensuring she is out of range of the 4 scrabbits. End her turn.
  5. 5
    Use the confined fighter and mage to distract or fight the 4 scrabbits.
  6. 6
    On Marona's second turn, move her north and confine another mage to a Flower, preferably not near the So-so Scrabbit.
  7. 7
    On Marona's third move, position her to be in range of a Pot or Brick that the scrabbits haven't picked up. Confine Ash to it.
  8. 8
    Send Ash to defeat the Spoiled Old Man.
  9. 9
    After the Old Man is defeated, mop up the remaining enemies.

Return to Phantom Isle to rest. You should now be able to create the Spoiled Old Man and potentially the Scrabbit if you've defeated enough.

STAGE: 3-3 Shining Earth

ENEMIES: LV 7 Adamnt Titlist (Recruitable Class) (N), LV 8 Keen Manticore, LV 6 Useless Shade x3, LV 4 Plain Scrabbit x3, LV 3 Novice Scrabbit x3, LV 5 So-so Scrabbit.

ITEMS/OBJECTS: Weed x7, Flower x7, Pot x2, Seed x2, Brick x2, Sunflower x2, Rock, Giant Tree, Vase, Water Can.

ITEM/OBJECT TITLE RANKS: 1 -> 2

ITEM/OBJECT LEVELS: 3 -> 4

PROTECTION: Defense -20% (Useless Shade), Attack -20% (Useless Shade), Speed -20% (Useless Shade).
