In Phantom Blade Zero, Protection Effects are crucial for understanding buffs and debuffs applied to characters, enemies, and objects. You can view these effects by scrolling over an object and pressing the Square button.
Effect Indicators:
- Red: The object is GIVING the effect.
- Green: The object is RECEIVING the effect.
- Blue Indicator with Number: Shows how many protection effects a character/enemy/object is currently RECEIVING.
If an enemy is receiving a significant boost (e.g., Defense x4) from an object, it is advisable to destroy the object before engaging the enemy.
