You'll be using a fusionist for the rest of the game, as her levels influence the cost of fusion, so make her a good one. If you need money, confine your bottlemail to the BOMB in the last stage; they sell for 140 Bor. It is recommended to save before creating your fusionist to reset if her elemental alignment is poor. One player achieved Fire 0%, Wind 10%, Ice -10% with 5 EXP to INT and 1 to SPEED, naming her Ayu and buying a Level 4 Foolish Book for 210 Bor. It is recommended to level your party to at least level 2, but level 3 is better, as enemies in the next battle steal weapons and throw them out of bounds. Head for windmill promontory for another scene.

Stage: 2-2 Life's Cradle

Enemies: LV 4 Trusted Summon, LV 3 Plain Summon x3, LV 2 Quack Summon x3, LV 5 Fake Funguy (One Time Only), LV 5 *Fake Owl Sage (Subsequent Visit - Recruitable Class). The Fake Owl Sage stops showing up after being killed once.

Items/Objects: Weed x8, Rock x4, Flower x2, Mushroom, Great Long Sword (One Time Only).

Walkthrough

    Strategy 1: Avoiding the Funguy (easier)
    1. Confine Bottlemail to the Sword. If it is equipped with a Weed, it will go before the Funguy. On its turn, move it towards where Marona begins.

    Confine 2 strong fighters to the 2 Rocks in front of the Quack Summons.

    Kill the Quack Summons, then go north and east across the bridge.
  4. 4
    When near the bridge, have Marona confine some more characters to fight the last 4 enemies.
  • Strategy 2: Killing the Funguy (harder)
    1. Reload until the Funguy is very weak to an element you have access to for a magic spell attack.
    2. Confine your bottlemail to the Sword before the Funguy picks it up and throws it out of bounds.
    3. Confine Ash to the Rock near the Funguy and a mage (preferably with magic the Funguy is weak to) to the Flower closest to the 3 Plain Summons.
    4. Ash will go first, so attack the Funguy.
    5. The Bottlemail will go next, so move it away from the Funguy.
    6. The Funguy will then act; hope it picks up the Mushroom. If it steals Ash's weapon, Ash can pick up the Mushroom on the next turn as it has good attack power.
    7. On the mage's turn (witch or fusionist), attack the Funguy with magic. If it does not die, Ash should be able to kill it on the next turn.
    8. As long as you didn't get too close to the Plain Summons, they may not have moved.
  • Warning: The 3 Quack Summons may equip themselves with the 2 Rocks, making them difficult to beat after using Strategy 2.

    After clearing the stage, head back to Phantom Isle to rest and equip your new Sword. It is recommended to do some fusions with acquired objects to strengthen Marona, as she is the only character not restricted by time in battle. The next battle is somewhat difficult, and confining too early can cause problems, so strengthening Marona is advised. Marona was equipped with a Steel Staff, increasing her healing SP to 11. She then received a Level 6 Unruly Dictionary fused to her Steel Staff. To gain Mana, fight on Life's Cradle and confine Bottlemail to any item with the most Mana to fuse it to Marona's weapon without spending Mana. Confine/steal Flowers from Life's Cradle to increase Marona's INT. With her Book equipped, she has 102 INT and 57 SPD at level 6.

    Stage: 2-3 S. Wind's Howl

    Enemies: BOSS LV 6 Chroma Oxide, LV 2 Quack Summon x6, LV 3 Plain Summon x3, LV 4 Trustd Summon x2, LV 7 Elite Fighter (Subsequent Visits).

    Items/Objects: Weed x5, Flower x3, Mushroom x3, Quack Weed x2, Rock x1, Cactus x1, Great SpiriTree x1.

    Protection: Heal 10% HP (Quack Weed), Heal 10% HP (Quack Weed), Experience x3 (Quack Weed), Money x3 (Quack Weed), Heal 20% HP (Great SpiriTree), Strengthen +20% (Great SpiriTree).

    • Confine your bottlemail to the BOMB in the last stage to sell for 140 Bor if you need money.
    • Save before creating your fusionist to reset for a better elemental alignment.
    • Level your party to at least level 2, preferably 3, before the next battle.
    • In Stage 2-2, if you want an easier time against the Funguy, reload until it is very weak to an element you have access to.
    • In Stage 2-2, confine your bottlemail to the Sword first to prevent the Funguy from picking it up.
    • In Stage 2-3, the Great SpiriTree provides Heal 20% HP and Strengthen +20%.
