    After obtaining HM Defog, Munchlax can spawn in specific hideaways within the Grand Underground: Spacious Cave, Grassland Cave, Whiteout Cave, Riverbank Cave, Still-Water Cavern, and Sunlit Cavern.

    To increase encounters, repeatedly enter and exit a hideaway, as the Pokémon inside change each time.

    When you spot a Munchlax, save your game before approaching it.

    If a Munchlax is holding Leftovers, you can use a Pokémon with Thief or Covet to steal them, provided that Pokémon does not have its own hold item.
