Discover all items and wild Pokémon encounters within Wayward Cave in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Includes trainer battles and secret entrances.
The inside of Wayward Cave is pitch-black. To proceed, it is highly recommended to have a Pokémon use Flash (TM70). TM70 can be obtained from the basement of Oreburgh Gate or purchased on the 3rd floor of the Veilstone City Department Store.
Besides the main entrance, there is a hidden entrance underneath the cycling road. From the main entrance, walk south near the northernmost tree, then west underneath the road. Just before emerging, go north while still underneath the road. This leads to a small area with stairs to the basement, but requires HM Strength to push boulders.
In the north-eastern corner of the first floor, you will meet Mira. While Mira is present, wild Pokémon encounters will be two at once, and she will assist in Double Battles with other trainers. Mira will fully restore your party after each fight, making it a good training spot. She leaves when you reach the cave entrance. You cannot use Escape Rope while Mira is present.

Navigation in the basement utilizes the Bicycle to speed over mini-ramps. Momentum can be maintained when turning corners if not bumped.
