Follow this Prey (2017) walkthrough to navigate the G.U.T.S. section, defeat Cystoid Nests, and find crucial items like Neuromods, keycards, and fabrication plans.
Walkthrough
- 1After obtaining Lamy's Cabin Keycard, you'll receive a call from January with an updated objective: Use Bellamy's Keycard to access his cabin in Crew Quarters.
- 2Continue looting the current area for 2x Neuromod and the Morgue Keycard. On shelves in the back, find 2x Biohazard Waste. On "V-091755-03's Corpse," you can find a Sunburst Banana.
- 3Return to the Live Exam area and enter the unlocked hallway to the right. Proceed to the back of the area where a Phantom and a Mimic will appear. Follow and kill them, utilizing nearby turrets for assistance. January will call about the turrets.
- 4Before entering the next area, check the storage box to the left for 5x 9mm Bullet. Go back past the circular arch to find 2x Spare Parts. The right hallway (leading back to "Aaron") contains Used Plastic Tubing.
- 5Enter the next zone, known as the "G.U.T.S."
- 6Head downstairs first to find an office. In the toolbox, locate Frayed Wire and Corroded Coil. On the desk, find a Recycler Charge, 2x Frayed Wire (one in a nearby shelf), 2x Agave Plant Clippings, and the "Will You? Note." Check the desk's email for "EMAIL 95: RE: G.U.T.S. - SUBSECTION 19."
- 7Use the Recycler, then head back up. Enter the "GUTS" area, a gravity-less tunnel environment.
- 8Loot "Eric Berger's Corpse" for the EMP Charge Fabrication Plan and an EMP Charge. An Engineer Operator is nearby. Loot the broken operator. January will call.
- 9Move past the bend and look for Spare Parts past a window. Continue towards the fire for floating Corroded Coil and Used Plastic Tubing. North of the lettering, behind a door, find Frayed Wire. Proceed through the first checkpoint.
- 10After a debris fall takes out an enemy, check behind the door you entered from for Used Plastic Tubing and Corroded Coil.
- 11Locate a grated section with items. Use a nearby broken grate to enter and loot for 2x Used Wire, 3x Frayed Wire, and a Burnt Circuit Board. As you approach the end, a "Cystoid Nest" will appear.
- 12CYSTOID NEST: These are best dealt with at range. Shoot them with a pistol and be prepared for the Cystoids that emerge. They are an annoyance and can cause radiation sickness.
- 13CYSTOID: These small creatures swarm and attack anything that moves. Shoot them when grouped together. They can use Kinetic Blast I.
- 14Clear the middle shaft by shooting the nests from a distance. Loot the area for Corroded Coil x3, Used Plastic Tube x2, Spare Parts, Frayed Wire x2, Burnt Circuit Board, and an Expired Plasma Bag. Continue through the airlock.
- 15In the next gravity-less area, clear the Cystoid Nests. Loot "Kimberly Bomo's Corpse" for 2x Psi Hypo and the "Lock the Door Note," which contains the Maintenance Tunnel Keycode.
- 16Enter a grated section via a hole in the middle or near the end to find 2x Spare Parts, an EMP Charge, Frayed Wire, Used Plastic Tubing, and 29x GLOO Cannister. The middle of the area contains a broken operator and a supply crate with Frayed Wire.
- 17Before proceeding through the door, use your Gloo Gun to stop the nearby fan by shooting its blades. Enter the vent for a Burnt Circuit Board and Frayed Wire. On the other side, open the previous door with a button.
- 18Clear the remaining nests in the cubbies of the tunnel. Return to the starting area to loot.
- 19Head forward to a small station. Outside it, find Used Plastic Tubing. Inside, locate a Medkit and a Lemon Peel.
