Part 50

Hack Duncan's PC (Hacking Level I required) to access emails [_EMAIL 144: RE: THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW_] and [_EMAIL 145: RE: UNAUTHORIZED TECH_].

Head back to the front area and search Miguel Lopez's body on the stairs for [_9MM BULLETS x6_] and [_SHOTGUN SHELLS x3_].

In the center console area, find the [_TRANSCRIBE: EMMANUEL MENDEZ_] audio log and the "Engineering Control Systems" book. The book provides access to two new emails: [_EMAIL 146: RE: THE ESCAPE PODS..._] and [_EMAIL 147: RE: DUNCAN_].

Exit the room and use the Grav Elevator to reach the Coolant Chamber.

Descend to the bottom of the Coolant Chamber and assist the four turrets (two on the right, two on the left) in fighting off mimics (Greater and Normal) and phantoms.

After clearing the area, head right from the stairs to find Matthew Connolly's corpse. Loot him for a [_BASEBALL GLOVE_], [_SUN-DRIED TOMATO JERKY_], and find a Gloo Gun nearby.

Locate the large locked door in the back. Use your Gloo Gun to extinguish a nearby fire, revealing Talia Brooks' corpse. Loot her for [_FRAYED WIRE_], a [_SUIT REPAIR KIT_], a [_NEURMOD_], the [_Q-BEAM CELL FABRICATION PLAN_], the [_TRANSCRIBE: TALIA BROOKS_] audio log, and the [_COOLANT CHAMBER KEYCARD_].

Head to the middle of the area and search the concrete slabs for [_USED PLASTIC TUBING_], [_ORGANIC MATERIAL 1.0_], and [_MINERAL MATERIAL 1.0_].

Enter the nearby hole in the wall to find a [_BURNT CIRCUIT BOARD_] and a [_CORRODED COIL_].

Proceed around either side (watch out for mimics) to a passage leading to a dead end with a [_NEUROMOD_].

Above this dead end, use "Leverage III" or a recycler charge to move cargo and access the "Parts Storage" room. This room contains [_SPARE PARTS_] and another turret. You can also unlock the door.

Enter the "Parts Storage" room, which contains eight mimics. Loot the room for a [_CORRODED COIL_], [_WRENCH FABRICATION PLAN_], [_RECYCLER CHARGE_], [_NEUROMOD_], [_USED PLASTIC TUBING_], [_SHOTGUN SHELLS x4_], [_Q-BEAM CELLS x58_], [_SPARE PARTS x2_], the [_GLOO CANNON FABRICATION PLAN_], [_FRAYED WIRE x2_], [_GLOO CANISTER x26_], [_BURNT CIRCUIT BOARD_], and two [_WEAPON UPGRADE KIT_]. Note the "Grounding Resistors" that can be used to fix a broken one in the hallway above.

Leave the Parts Storage. The second level has little of value. Head back down and make your way to the back to use the [_COOLANT CHAMBER KEYCARD_] to open the door.

Be prepared for an ambush from a phantom around the corner, followed by two Greater Mimics. Kill them all.

Unblock the Grav Elevator. Explore the lower area nearby, then go right into the "Med Bay".

In the Med Bay, search the corpse of "Anthony Aquilante" for a [_BROKEN COOLER FAN_] and an [_EMP CHARGE_].

Fix the broken operator in the Med Bay. Grab the [_MEDKIT_], [_PSI HYPO_], and [_ANTI-RAD PHARMA FABRICATION PLAN_]. Check cabinets for [_BIOHAZARD WASTE_], two [_PSI HYPO x2_], and two [_PETRI DISH SAMPLE x2_].

In the lower area, find an airlock and shelves containing [_USED PLASTIC TUBING_], [_FRAYED WIRE_], and a [_FRIED HARD DRIVE_].

Enter the room with Mikhaila Ilyushin using the keycard. After talking to her, you can give her the medicine (Booster Shots) collected earlier in the guide to complete the "Assist Mikhaila Ilyushin" Side Quest.

Mikhaila will give you a [_WEAPON UPGRADE KIT_] for your trouble. You will also earn the "A Friend in Need" Bronze Trophy.

Loot the area: find the "Hands-On Electronics" book, the [_DISRUPTOR BATTERY FABRICATION PLAN_], two [_TYPHON LURE x2_], three [_NEUROMOD x3_], [_SPARE PARTS_], and a [_BURNT CIRCUIT BOARD_] on shelves.

Hack the locked PC (Hacking I required) to find two new emails: [_EMAIL 148: YOU WANT IN?_] and [_EMAIL 149: RE: FAULTY GROUNDING RESISTOR_].

Reading these emails may award the "Press Sneak" Silver Trophy for reading all emails on Talos I.

Use the Grav Elevator to continue down, past the large door to the Reactor Core.
