Learn how to acquire antidote kits from the merchant Igear in the Undercity and understand their importance for dealing with transformed outcasts in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Alright, so you're in the Undercity and you've run into some transformed outcasts. It's a bit grim, but you gotta deal with them. To the left of the gate, you'll find two more outcasts who haven't turned yet. If you're going for Dark Side points (DSP), take them out. If you're playing Light Side, there's not much you can do for them at this point, so just head north towards the other gate.

Keep heading north through the Undercity. You'll eventually be stopped by an outcast merchant named Igear. Be a good sport, be polite, and ask him what he's selling. Make sure you buy all of his antidote kits – they're pretty important!

After that, you'll have a chat with Carth. He's a bit hesitant at first, but if you press him a little, he'll open up about Revan and Malak. He'll tell you how they went from being Republic heroes to brutal Sith lords after the Mandalorian Wars, betraying the Republic and bringing others into their cause. He's pretty adamant that these guys deserve no mercy, and he doesn't seem keen on talking about it any further.

Over to the north, near the village gate, you'll overhear a woman and the gate guard arguing. Turns out some guy named Hendar was foolish enough to leave the village and is now being chased by Rakghouls. If you want Light Side Points (LSP), tell the gate guard to open up so you can go deal with the Rakghouls. Then, you'll need to go back into the village and talk to Hendar to actually get the LSP. Now, saying you won't risk your life might not be dark enough for DSP, and honestly, it might be part of that light/dark side point glitch. I haven't personally gotten DSP for this. It's actually better if you just say you'll kill the Rakghouls and then don't talk to the woman. You'll get the XP without the LSP, which is a cleaner way to handle it.

Note: If Hendar happens to die while you're trying to save him from the Rakghoul attack, well, that's unfortunate.
