Guide to selling racing bonds on the Ebon Hawk, dealing with Nico, and returning to the swoop track in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Includes tips for persuasion and bargaining.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
After completing all races, speak with Nico. Use Force Persuade to convince him to accept the deal. Standard Persuade may also work (Persuasion rank 4 is often sufficient). If persuasion fails, you can threaten to kill him to force acceptance. For players with high Dark Side Points (DSP), persuade Motta to secure a better deal for Nico. If unable to persuade Motta, threaten him. Bastila can assist by Force Persuading Motta for a better contract, preventing DSP gain from the threat.
  2. 2
Upon exiting the swoop track, a fan will request an autograph. This interaction has no alignment changes, so respond as you see fit.
  3. 3
East of the swoop track, you will encounter Dark Jedi who express Lord Malak's displeasure and promise a reward for your demise. They utilize Force powers similar to your level, so be prepared.
  4. 4
After the Dark Jedi encounter, proceed to the Anchorhead Cantina and speak with Helena, Bastila's mother. Following an argument between Helena and Bastila, Helena will ask you to find a holocron belonging to Bastila's father, who died hunting a krayt dragon.
  5. 5
After selling your racing bonds, go to the droid shop located near the Dune Sea exit on the northeastern side of Anchorhead. Speak with the merchant and HK-47. The merchant offers HK-47 for 5,000 credits. Dark Side players can aggressively bargain (threaten to kill the merchant) to reduce the price. Non-Dark Side players can ask the merchant to lower the price, reducing it to 4,000 credits, and then ask again for a further reduction without alignment penalty.

HK-47 Stats:

  • Level: 6 Combat Droid
  • Vitality: 66/66
  • Defense: 16
  • Strength: 16 (+3)
  • Dexterity: 14 (+2)
  • Constitution: 10 (0)
  • Intelligence: 14 (+2)
  • Wisdom: 12 (+1)
  • Charisma: 10 (0)
  • Saves: Fortitude 5, Reflex 4, Will 3
  • Skills: Computer Use 2, Demolitions 7, Stealth 0, Awareness 6, Persuade 0, Repair 8, Security 0, Treat Injury 1
  • Feats: Power Blast, Weapon Proficiency (Blaster Pistol and Heavy Weapons), Weapon Focus (Blaster Rifle), Droid Upgrade Class I, Toughness, Tactician Logic Upgrade
Tips
  • Persuasion checks with Nico and Motta can be influenced by your character's Charisma and Persuade skill.
  • Threatening NPCs can lead to Dark Side Point gains unless specific conditions are met (e.g., Bastila's intervention).
  • HK-47 is a valuable companion, but consider his combat effectiveness based on your party composition.
