Walkthrough for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, focusing on the Dak Vasser questline. Includes choices for both Light and Dark side players, and strategies for the Star Forge.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Alignment Choice: You can choose to embrace the Dark Side if you are a Light character, or vice versa. However, this is strongly discouraged due to a "net dark side shift" that neutralizes your alignment. This shift increases the Force Point cost of certain Force powers. If you are Dark and threaten to kill Bastila, she will flee, forcing you onto the Light path and preventing you from wearing the Star Forge Robes.
  2. 2
Disrupter Field: Select the computer to turn off the disrupter field and temple shields.
  3. 3
[WUNWBE] Back to The Elders: Return to the elder encampment with the data. Dark players should talk to the Elder Councilor and choose the option to never destroy the Star Forge to slaughter them all.
  4. 4
[WUNWEH] Return To the Ebon Hawk: Both Light and Dark players can recount their temple experiences. Light players should repair the engine and travel to the Star Forge via the galaxy map. Dark players will face opposition from party members like Carth. To maximize evil, use the Force to persuade Zaalbar to kill Mission. Attacking Mission yourself will force you to kill Zaalbar as well. After this, repair the engine and travel to the Star Forge.
  5. 5
[WSTARF] Star Forge: This is the game's most challenging area. Keep moving and only stop in designated areas to heal and regenerate Force Points. Moving quickly is essential; leave party members to fight if necessary.
  6. 6
Equipment: Equip your party with the most powerful melee and energy shields, such as the Verpine Prototype Shield and Mandalorian Power Shield. Save 2-3 charges of both shields for the final encounter with Malak.
  7. 7
Healing: Pause the game to use Medpacs for healing. Avoid using the Force power Heal unless absolutely necessary, as it can deplete Force Points quickly. Use it only when low on health in safe areas.
  8. 8
Mind Affecting Immunity: Equip items like the Nerve Amplifier Belt or Calo Nord's Battle Armor upgrades to grant immunity to mind-affecting effects, especially for non-Jedi party members.
  9. 9
Party Selection: Choose your party wisely as it cannot be changed. Light players must select Jolee and Juhani. Dark players should choose Canderous for his healing ability. Avoid HK-47. Bastila can use the Force power Heal, but use it sparingly. Save your game after each area of the Star Forge.
  10. 10
Dark Character Warning: Dark characters should avoid using Zaalbar in the Star Forge.
