Discover helpful tips and tricks for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, including Bastila conversations, Korriban choices, Malak fight strategies, Star Forge glitches, and Sand People encounters.
Walkthrough
- 1Bastila Conversations (Male Characters): If you are playing as a male character, you will have two additional conversations with Bastila. The first is a continuation of a previous dialogue, where she may lead you to a private location. During this exchange, if you do not initiate a kiss, Bastila will. The second, final male-only conversation with Bastila is very brief; she states that you will discuss the kiss after Malak is defeated.
- 2Korriban Star Map and Uthar/Yuthura: After finding the Star Map on Korriban, you must choose to side with Uthar, Yuthura, or yourself. If you defeat Uthar, you can potentially skip fighting the other students. Saving and reloading your game after dealing with Uthar and Yuthura might prevent subsequent enemies from attacking you, though this is not guaranteed. An editor's note clarifies that if either Uthar or Yuthura is the leader, not everyone will attack you.
- 3Malak Fight Strategy: To better manage the Guardian jump attack during the fight with Malak, save your game after he uses a Jedi to regain health. If you die mysteriously after his dialogue, reload the save. Using two Advanced Medpacs quickly upon reloading may grant you two doses, allowing you to quickly recover health. This strategy can make the fight significantly easier.
- 4Star Forge Deck 2 Glitch: Deck 2 of the Star Forge is known for its high enemy density. A helpful glitch involves saving your game immediately after acquiring your Customized Jedi robes (Star Forge robes for light-aligned players, Darth Revan's robes for dark-aligned). If your party members die shortly after this save, you can still reach the elevator to the Command Deck. Saving and reloading can revive your party members, allowing you to proceed without excessive combat.
- 5Sand People Ambush Locations: Sand People ambushes in the dune seas are not entirely random. Lootable junk piles and bodies scattered around the sea indicate where these ambushes occur. To loot these areas without engaging the Sand People, make peace with them first.
- 6B'ree the Rodian Merchant: On Korriban, near the port and past the troublesome Sith, there is a Rodian merchant named B'ree. She sells approximately five Plasma grenades. Purchasing these before the Leviathan mission can be beneficial, especially for defeating Saul.
- 7Saul Battle Strategy: For a light-aligned character against Saul, use an Ion grenade, an Adhesive grenade, a Plasma grenade, and another non-plasma grenade. For a dark-aligned character, use Kill, Force Storm twice, and Drain Life, followed by Force Storm. For your party, have Carth use Concussion, Ion, and two Plasma grenades. Bastila should use two Plasma grenades and two others of your choice. This should defeat Saul and nearby enemies. If any remain, finish them off with Bastila or your character, while Carth and another party member handle the enemies guarding the door. Note: This strategy was written after the Leviathan battle and may need slight adjustments. If so, try to keep Dark Jedi near Saul and use your best grenades, or use Force Storm if dark-aligned.
