Bounce and Trounce in the Clouds

First up, we're heading northeast of the Fur Step Island marker. Look for a tiny island there – that's our spot. You'll see some Biddybuds buzzing around a trampoline. Hop on and do a Ground Pound. This'll launch you onto some invisible cloud platforms. There's a cloud right in front of you that acts as a launcher to a bonus area. Your mission here is to take out all the Biddybuds. The game throws some Super Stars at you to help, but don't feel like you *have* to use them. Honestly, your invincibility might run out before you get them all, and since the bonus area is pretty linear, it's hard to miss any enemies. Just make sure you hit every single Biddybud before you drop down to the final platforms, because there's no going back up without restarting. Once they're all gone, the Cat Shine will pop up on a little pedestal at the end. Easy peasy!

Tip: You don't actually need the Super Stars to defeat the enemies and get the Shine. Focus on hitting all the Biddybuds before dropping down!

Plessie Medal Collector

Right next to that last little island, you'll find a medal spinning over the water. Jump on Plessie and grab it! This kicks off a timer, so you'll need to be quick. The next two medals will pop up on the Scamper Shores island. For these, you'll actually need to get off Plessie because they're a bit tricky to reach while riding her. After the third one, hop back down to the beach to find Plessie again and head towards the fourth medal, which is near the Lakeside Giga Bell. The very last medal is by where Fury Bowser wakes up. Grab that final one, and bam – the Cat Shine is yours!

Tip: Some of these Plessie medals will appear on land, so be ready to dismount and grab them!

Toad Brigade: Lost Leader

Head over to the gate for Scamper Shores. On a small island nearby, you'll spot a Toad surrounded by Biddybuds. This is one of the lost Toad Brigade members! Your job is simple: defeat all the Biddybuds. Once they're cleared out, the Toad will reward you with a shiny Cat Shine.

Hurry! Climb the Falls!

Okay, for this one, teleport to Pounce Bounce Isle and make your way to the westernmost Shine in the Lakeside region. You'll know you're in the right place when you see a small island with a dock and a purple button, right next to some waterfalls. You'll definitely need the Cat Suit for this! Hit that purple switch, and platforms will appear. One of them has a cat ramp. Use your Cat Suit to run up that ramp, then carefully make your way across the donut blocks to the top of the falls. Grab that Cat Shine! Alternatively, you can just climb the walls straight up without even using the donut blocks if you're feeling speedy.

Tip: With the Cat Suit, you can climb straight up the walls instead of using the donut blocks.

Hurry! Dash and Dive!

Nearby where you started the last Shine, there's a big ring with Plessie's face on it. Ride Plessie through this ring – it'll show you where to go and start a 20-second timer. You'll be zooming through a tunnel behind a waterfall, dodging giant wooden gates. These gates have openings you can dive under. Do that, and you'll hit a speed boost pad on the other side. It's a tight timer, so make sure you dive under each gate to hit those boost pads. If you make it to the end, you'll snag another Cat Shine!

Tip: Make sure you dive underneath the openings for each gate to have easier access to the boost pads.

Shoreside Rabbit Plays Tag

By the ring from the last Shine, you'll see a rabbit chilling on an island. As you get close, it'll bolt, and you'll have to chase it down. Just touch the rabbit, and you'll get another Cat Shine. Don't worry too much about speed while riding Plessie; you'll naturally gain on it. Just try not to take too many sharp turns, and you'll catch that speedy bunny in no time.

Tip: Try to cut the corners a bit to gain traction on the rabbit.

Lost Kitten by the Shore

Head to the island with the Lakeside Giga Bell. On one side, you'll see a big, sad cat. Its kitten is lost! Luckily, the kitten isn't far – it's on the other side of the Giga Bell, playing with a baseball. You could try to lure it back slowly, but the easiest way is just to grab the kitten with the Y button and bring it to its mom. Boom! Cat Shine earned. Fun fact: the kittens are also attracted to Mario if you're wearing the Cat Suit, so that's another option!

Tip: The lost kitten is right on the other side of the Giga Bell.
