To get to this hideout, you'll need to search the northeastern section of the first area in World 6. Look for a green pipe right next to World 6-2: Spooky Seasick Wreck, on a little raised section. This is the third hideout for the Fire Bros, and it's packed with their cousins!

Walkthrough

You'll face a single Fire Bro, two Hammer Bros, and two Boomerang Bros all at once. It can be a bit chaotic with all the projectiles flying around!

If you have a ranged power-up like the Fire Flower or Boomerang Flower, now's the time to use it! Standing back and picking them off makes this fight much more manageable.

Remember how each enemy attacks: the Hammer Bros throw hammers in an arc, the Boomerang Bros' boomerangs will come back to them, and the Fire Bros' fireballs are pretty straightforward.

Keep an eye out because sometimes their own projectiles can hit each other, especially since they're grouped up. You might get lucky and see them take each other out!

Once all the enemies are defeated, a Green Star will appear. Grab it to clear the hideout.

Tips

Having a ranged power-up is a huge advantage here. If you don't have one, try to grab one from an earlier part of the level if possible.
Don't get too close to the Hammer Bros; their arc attack can be tricky to dodge up close.
Be mindful of the Boomerang Bros' return path – don't stand where the boomerang will come back to hit you.
Use the environment to your advantage if possible, but mostly focus on dodging and attacking.
