Walkthrough
  1. 1
Phase 1 Setup: Position a sniper, a shocktrooper (elite with best damage weapon, not Rosie), and an engineer in the base triangle (two spots in base, one above). Place Largo to the east, Rosie north, Alicia, and another scout elsewhere.
  2. 2
Phase 1 Advance: Use the engineer to clear 3 mines on the first bridge. Move the sniper to the bridge and eliminate the visible enemy shocktrooper near the first medium tank (north, near enemy base). Move the tank forward and use a mortar round to destroy the barricade in front of the rail car and potentially hit the shocktrooper. Move the shocktrooper forward twice to kill the enemy on the second move. Use another move to get on the railcar and advance towards the lift, triggering a cutscene. Use a scout (Alicia recommended) to move west as far as possible. Finally, use the tank to destroy a barricade on the next bridge north with a mortar or tank round. Move the tank west and end the phase.
  3. 3
Enemy Turn 1: The first medium tank advances and attacks. The enemy train fires on your position, then moves and selects a new target area.
  4. 4
Phase 2 Advance: Apply a "Damage" order (2 CP) to your forward shocktrooper. Activate the lift using the button on the box to the right, then ride the lift down using the glowing button on the front right. Immediately target and destroy the medium tank in the back. Advance north towards the bridge. Use a grenade on the small wooden bridge to your northwest. After cutscenes, move towards the enemy leader shocktrooper. The enemy will activate one of the lifts. Use the shocktrooper to eliminate the leader, capture the base, and RETREAT to avoid being killed. This may take one or two turns depending on troop strength. Advance your scout north and eliminate the lancer (grenade to make him stand, then shoot). Position the scout near the bridge edge, avoiding the second tank's line of sight. Use the tank's mortar to destroy another barricade. Advance the tank as much as possible. If CP remains, move the engineer towards the scout, avoiding the tank. End the phase.
Tips
  • Upgrading scouts and shocktroopers to elite (Level 11) significantly improves performance.
  • Welkin can be equipped with two mortar rounds for increased effectiveness.
  • Save before each enemy phase to potentially reload and get a different mortar target from the train.
  • Using the "Damage" order on a foot soldier is often more efficient than relying on lancers or the tank for destroying enemy tanks.
  • Be aware that lifts can only be activated from one side, marked by a circle on the map.
  • A Rank: 6
  • CP: 10
  • Leaders: 4
  • Aces: 1
  • Tanks: 3
