Walkthrough for Episode 2 of Valkyria Chronicles, 'Escape from Bruhl'. Learn how to defeat enemy leaders, an ace, and the final tank to achieve an A Rank.
Walkthrough
- 1Phase 1: Skip your first player phase. Enemies will advance. The tank will shoot the gate, and several soldiers will advance, including a scout leader hidden behind the tank.
- 2Phase 2: Select Alicia. Have her run up the hill on the right and kill the scout there with point-blank headshots. Hug the right wall to avoid hidden troops. If the scout is dead, end her turn and reselect her. Move around the corner to the right to find an enemy leader near the houses. Kill him with point-blank shots to the face. Ensure Alicia is behind a hill, not next to the barrier. If the other enemy leader advanced and survived, use a guardsman to finish him off. Save at least 4-5 CP for the final phase (you need 9 total, gaining 5). End your phase.
- 3Phase 3: Move Welkin forward through the barrier wall. Drive through the trees if necessary. Drive up and use a mortar on the group of enemies to your left (clearing sandbags makes driving easier). Aim between the shocktrooper and the crouching scout to kill them both. You can ignore the final scout. SAVE. Select Alicia. Run her north and east back toward Welkin's starting position. Enter the small alley to the left between two houses. Behind a tree is the enemy ace. Use the tree for cover and get close. Shoot him in the head. If you miss and have more than 6 CP, reselect and try again; otherwise, reload. Once the ace is dead, SAVE again. Select Welkin. Move him around the building's corner and fire on the enemy tank, aiming for the weak spot on its back. This will take at least two shots (4 CP). If you miss multiple times, reload. Get as close as possible before firing. Finish off the last scout leader if alive before destroying the tank, as destroying the tank ends the mission.
