Valkyria Chronicles War Without Weapons walkthrough to achieve A Rank, defeat the enemy ace, and earn the VB FW 2(g) flamethrower.
Walkthrough
- 1Deploy Alicia and Largo in the back, a sniper, and fill the rest with shocktroopers to guard the southern exit.
- 2Move the Shamrock up the cliff next to the medium tank and execute the lancer.
- 3Push past the tank, shoot it from behind, then run through the grass on the right to reveal two troops, including a leader.
- 4Save your game.
- 5Move toward the northern exit and mortar the area between the three standing rocks south and left to reveal the enemy ace.
- 6Head down the hill, avoiding exposure to the tank, and end your turn.
- 7Use your sniper to eliminate the enemy sniper to the west, then hide behind Welkin or your troops.
- 8Use your toughest shocktrooper to eliminate the sniper in the grass to Welkin's right, then hide in the western edge of the brush facing east. End your turn with 1 CP remaining.
- 9On your next phase, use the Shamrock to run over the lancer in the brush to your right, then shoot him in the head.
- 10Advance toward the tank leader, get close enough for a good shot, and eliminate him.
- 11Return toward the northern exit, facing south along the road.
- 12Use your sniper to eliminate any easily hit enemies, including the second leader.
- 13Use a crawling shocktrooper to throw a grenade at an enemy in front of you, then crawl north toward the grassy area edge, facing northwest. End your turn by crawling.
- 14Use a different shocktrooper to finish off the enemy you just grenaded, then push west as far as possible, hugging the wall.
- 15Select Welkin, move him forward, and turn right into the first brushy area to run over an enemy leader. Execute him and move toward the middle of the map. This should trigger the enemy retreat.
- 16Once the enemy retreats, mop up the remaining 7 enemies within two turns. Use mortars and flamethrowers from behind, and snipe any targets you can.
- 17In one example, Welkin can mortar 3 shocktroopers and the ace in the back. A shocktrooper can then flame the ace, followed by killing the final enemy leader and sniping the last two enemies.
