Paladins are a hybrid class in World of Warcraft with a strong emphasis on healing and protecting other players. They also have the possibility of focusing on melee combat. Paladins cannot wield ranged weapons but can wear plate armor starting at level 40.

Paladins are considered by many to be the best class in World of Warcraft, with a significant portion of players in each faction choosing to play them. Their strengths include wearing plate armor, wielding 2-handed weapons, protection abilities, strong AoE (Area of Effect) attacks, and self-healing. They can also deal damage that causes the Paladin to take damage in return. While they lack significant ranged abilities or a dedicated distance-maker/closer, they can still engage in mounted combat.

Some players may refer to Paladins as "QQ" (a term for crying or a chat command from an old game), but their effectiveness is undeniable. Paladins are considered over-powered (OP), and players are encouraged to create one. For a simple approach to killing enemies, including other players, players can focus on the Retribution (ret) specialization and perform basic attacks.
