How to Break the AP Limit in Crisis Core Reunion

Learn how to break the AP limit in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion with the Black Cowl, Divine Slayer, and Heike Soul accessories. Get them via missions, drops, or chests.

AP (Ability Points) are used for special attacks and skills under Command Materia. The standard AP limit is 999, but the Black Cowl accessory raises this to 9,999. Other accessories like the Divine Slayer and Heike Soul offer even greater benefits, though they are obtained much later in the game.

How to Get the Black Cowl:

1. Complete mission 7-3-1: P’s Precognition Lv. 1. This mission becomes available after completing mission 7-2-1: Search and Destroy and subsequent missions.
2. Steal from Diatryma enemies in mission 9-6-4. These enemies can be challenging and inflict stun.
3. Find in a Treasure Chest in mission 2-5-5 (available in Chapter 10) or mission 9-3-3 (available in Chapter 3, requires completing many difficult missions).
4. Rare steal from Diatryma in mission 9-6-4. Equip the Mog’s Amulet and Brigand’s Gloves for a better chance. This mission is available in Chapter 3, but requires progressing through many difficult missions first.

How to Get the Divine Slayer and Heike Soul:

• Divine Slayer: Obtained by defeating Minerva, the game's superboss, in mission 9-6-6. This requires near-max stats. The Divine Slayer provides HP, MP, and AP +100%, ATK, VIT, MAG, SPR, and LCK +50. It also breaks all attack, HP, MP, and AP limits and grants the Libra effect.
• Heike Soul: Obtained by completing 100% of all Missions in the game, which includes defeating Minerva in mission 9-6-6. This accessory grants the effects of numerous other powerful items and Materia, including the Black Cowl, making it extremely potent, though it's acquired very late in the game.
