Mission 6-6-3: Secret in the Caverns

Unlocking the Mission: Progress the main story to Chapter 2 to unlock Mission 6-1-1. Complete the subsequent missions in this string, including Missions 6-2-1 through 6-2-6, to eventually unlock Mission 6-3-1. Continue completing prerequisite missions until Mission 6-6-3 becomes available. Be prepared for increasing difficulty and ensure you have adequate Materia and Accessories.

Farming Setup: For optimal farming in Mission 6-6-3, equip the following Accessories:

• Mog's Amulet: Ensures enemies always drop their rare items.

Brigand's Gloves: Guarantees a 100% steal rate.

Precious Watch (Optional): Doubles enemy drops.

Enemy Breakdown and Farming Strategy: The mission features three main enemy types:

• Horned Devil: Drops Darkness Materia, which can be converted into SP. Be cautious as they use Energy and Ultima spells.

Lesser Worm: An excellent source for farming Dark Matter, which is useful for Materia Fusion. They can inflict Stop and drain MP and SP. The final battle consists of a group of Lesser Worms.

Mover EX: Defeating this enemy yields a significant amount of SP. The base yield is 8,000 SP, but can increase to 16,000 SP if you defeat other enemies first (like a Horned Devil) and avoid taking damage. They can also drop Rune Armlets (sellable for Gil) and can be stolen from for Flare Materia (another source of SP). Their attacks include Graviga, Delta Attack, and Ultima.

SP and Materia Fusion: Utilize Dark Matters obtained from Lesser Worms in Materia Fusion. A strategy involves placing Dark Matters in a fusion attempt (up to one less than the maximum) and using another item to transform the Materia into a stat boost.
