Navigate King's Gate in Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, defeat the Dragonriders, and find Faraam armour and other key items.
- 1In the middle room on your left, find a Pharros' Lockstone.
- 2Be cautious of the final room on your left, as the floor will collapse if you go too far in. You can descend to find a set of Faraam armour, but ensure you can return to a bonfire afterwards.
- 3Lure each Sentinel out into the main room one by one to defeat them with more space.
- 4Repeat the looting and killing process for the right-hand set of rooms.
- 5Loot the coffer in the centre-right room for a Mastodon Greatsword.
- 6Find a Royal Soldier's Ring +1 in a chest in the final room on the right.
- 7Go through the first door on the right-hand side, then around the corner to a new room. Open the chest for 15 Dark Arrows.
- 8Head upstairs to find a Monastery Charm, a Soul of a Hero, and several Old Radiant Lifegems.
- 9Proceed all the way upstairs to a room with a pool of acidic liquid. Near the stairs by the pool, find an Elizabeth Mushroom.
- 10In the corner, a chest contains Corrosive Urns. Warning: Remove all equipment before passing through the acidic pool to prevent gear deterioration.
- 11After looting, go upstairs, through the doorway, and into the next room. Kill the enemy inside.
- 12Go around the corner and up the stairs. Enter the door ahead.
- 13In the new room, watch out for dart-firing faces on the wall. Use your shield to mitigate dart damage.
- 14Loot a Twinkling Titanite and a Soul of a Brave Warrior from this room.
- 15Go to the door in the corner.
- 16Go upstairs and kill the trio of guards in the room above.
- 17Proceed through the next door, take a right, go upstairs, and kill the enemy at the very top.
- 18Walk down the next hallway, kill the enemy, then return to the entrance to find a ladder.
- 19Climb all the way down the ladder, kill the enemy at the bottom, and take the Soul of a Brave Warrior from the ledge around the corner.
- 20Go down the next ladder, and open the coffer beneath you for 20 Iron Arrows and a Hunter's Blackbow.
- 21Climb back up both ladders.
- 22Take the stairs to your left.
- 23Turn right at the top, enter the room on your left, and talk to Nashandra, Queen of Drangleic.
- 24Take the passage on your right to leave the room.
- 25Travel down the path and into the misty patch to initiate the boss fight.
BOSS: Two Dragonriders
This fight is similar to the first Dragonrider encounter, but with two opponents. One Dragonrider will use a bow from a corner, while the other is identical to the original. It is advisable to defeat the ranged attacker first. Lure the melee boss to the far side of the room to create an opening to attack the bow-wielding enemy. Staying close to the bow-wielding Dragonrider will prevent it from firing arrows. Keep an eye on the melee opponent and move out of its attack range. Once the ranged enemy is defeated, focus on the melee boss. Strafe or dodge to avoid its attacks. After it finishes an assault, you can land two or three hits, depending on your weapon's speed.
- The Faraam armour set is difficult to obtain and may not be essential unless you are using very poor gear.
- Luring enemies out one by one into larger areas provides more room for maneuverability.
- Always be aware of your surroundings, especially collapsing floors and dart traps.
- Prioritize eliminating the ranged Dragonrider first in the boss fight.
- Staying close to the bow-wielding Dragonrider during the boss fight will prevent it from attacking you with arrows.
