Teachings for Tomorrow

Guide to completing the Teachings for Tomorrow substory in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Learn how to get the Golden Grow Potato Seeds and rewards.

Alright, so after you wrap up the World Tournament scenes in the Into Enemy Territory main mission, you'll find yourself in the Great West Desert. Keep an eye out, 'cause there are two substories popping up, and this one, Teachings for Tomorrow, is chilling in the southwest corner.

Basically, Nam's got some village drama. His folks are more into mining minerals than farming, and they're guzzling water like it's going out of style. The good news? Nam heard about a special crop that can grow anywhere, but he can't leave the village to get it. That's where you come in! The farmer with this magic crop is over in the West Area. Head there and chat him up.

He's not just gonna hand over the seeds, though. He wants you to do him a favor first. There's a prize in an upcoming Bipedal Robo Walker time attack in West City that he's got his eye on. Now, if you haven't gotten the Robo Walker yet, you'll have to hold off on this substory for now. Don't sweat it though, it's not missable and you can totally come back to it after you finish the main story.

Once you've got the Robo Walker, make your way to the time attack location marked on your map. For this race, all you really need to focus on is jumping and steering. There's a lot of up and down, and some jumps might look impossible, but don't worry! Some spots have boosts, kinda like the car boosts, that'll give you that extra height you need. Just remember to follow those arrows; they're super important for showing you the way to the checkpoints. Nail it in time, and you'll snag the Tractor Capsule.

After that, you'll automatically zip back to the farmer. He'll give you the Golden Grow Potato Seeds, and then you'll head straight back to Nam. Besides the rewards listed below, Nam will also hook you up with an Awakening Water, a Superior Awakening Water, and a Divine Awakening Water.
