Time for a Tournament!

Alright, so you're looking to get into the 'Time for a Tournament!' substory in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot? Awesome! First things first, you'll need to be playing as Goku and make sure you've wrapped up the 'The Parent Trap' substory. Once that's done, head over to Capsule Corporation. Goku's got this idea to throw a tournament so everyone can have some fun fighting, but he'll need Bulma's help to get it all set up. She's gonna need you to help with some prep work, starting with the arena.

Bulma's first thought is to see if you can rent out the World Tournament Arena. So, hop over to the Far Southern Islands Area and chat with the announcer there. Turns out, you can't rent it out, which is a bummer. Head back to Bulma and let her know the bad news. Don't worry, she's got a backup plan! When you get control back, make your way to the Continent Center Area and talk to the announcer to get the ball rolling.

Now, this tournament is going to be a tag-team affair, meaning everyone's in two-person teams. You'll be playing as Goku, and your trusty partner for this is Krillin. You've got two fights ahead of you. Your first opponents will be Goten and Trunks, who decide to fuse into Gotenks right off the bat. While you didn't have a ton of time to play as Gotenks before, he mostly sticks to Galactic Donuts and Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack. The Galactic Donuts are those annoying projectiles that'll lock you down if they hit. The Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack is where he summons some ghosts that just float around and attack when you least expect it. Good news is, Krillin's got your back! Use Solar Flare to stun Gotenks before he can unleash those ghosts. It's a lifesaver!

Once you've dealt with Gotenks, your next fight is against Vegeta and Yamcha. Your best bet is to focus on Yamcha first since he's the weaker of the two. His moves are pretty basic: Spirit Ball and Kamehameha. The Spirit Ball is the one to watch out for, as it tracks you a bit more. Vegeta is definitely the tougher opponent here. He's a higher level and has more moves. Galick Gun is his standard beam attack, but he'll sometimes just fire it off without warning, so be ready! He also has Consecutive Energy Blast, which can really hurt if you're busy focusing on Yamcha. Take 'em both down, win the tournament, and you'll wrap up this substory!
