The Parent Trap

Alright, let's get this substory done! To start 'The Parent Trap,' you'll need to be playing as Vegeta and head to Capsule Corporation. Go all the way to the end of the hall where the researchers are. Make sure neither Goku nor Kid Trunks or Goten are in your party, or this won't trigger. Trunks is acting a little shifty, and he'll tell you he spotted a powerful warrior out near West City. Head to the blue marker on your map.

Turns out, that 'strong warrior' was just Goten and Trunks messing around. They decide to fuse into Gotenks (Super Saiyan 3, no less!) and challenge you to a fight, with Goku jumping in as support. It's a bit of a trap, hence the name!

• Vegeta's Best Move: Big Bang Attack

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Gotenks uses Galactic Donuts and Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack.

Strategy:

• When you arrive at the blue marker, you'll find Gotenks ready to fight. He's at Super Saiyan 3, and Goku will join you as a support.
• Gotenks has two main attacks to watch out for:
• Galactic Donuts: This is a projectile attack that looks like a donut. If it hits you, you'll be stunned for a few seconds, leaving you wide open. It might seem like it'll miss, but the hitbox is a bit tricky, so your best bet is to dodge or block it.
• Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack: This is the more annoying of the two. Gotenks summons ghosts that fly around the arena. They can be hard to track, and just when you think you're safe, one might hit you. There isn't a foolproof way to avoid these, so stay alert.
• Since you have Goku backing you up, this fight isn't too difficult. Focus on dodging Gotenks' special moves and counter-attacking when you have an opening. Vegeta's Big Bang Attack is particularly effective here for dealing good damage.
