Alright, so you've made it to the South Figaro Cave! Don't worry, it's pretty straightforward, but there are a few things to keep an eye on. First off, as soon as you enter, you'll see a recovery spring. Definitely use that to top off your HP and MP – it's a lifesaver. After that, just keep heading east to the next section.

Once you're in the next area, you'll want to go south to a fork in the path. Take the western path and then head north through the door. Follow that little path, and you'll snag an Ether. Nice! Keep it for later when you really need it.

Now, head back to that fork you were just at. This time, take the eastern path. Follow it along, and you'll come to another fork – one going east and one going south. Keep going east from here, and you'll find another Ether. Grab that one too!

From that eastern fork, go south. You'll see a couple of staircases; take the second one you come across. Follow the path from there, and you'll find a Phoenix Down. Super important for reviving fallen party members, so don't miss it!

Once you've got the Phoenix Down, just backtrack to the first staircase you passed, use it, and follow the path. It'll lead you right back outside. Easy peasy!
