Walkthrough

    When the Hydra dips its head, attack it to prompt the "Vanquish" command. Use this to sever a head, causing three more to appear.

    Take out the three new heads.

    Listen for Phil to call Sora. Jump on the Hydra's back and use "Phil One-Two" followed by "Urninator" to stun the heads.

    Pick a head, drain its health, and use "Vanquish" to remove it. Repeat for the remaining two heads.

    The Hydra will return with seven heads. Use Valor Form when it lowers its heads to deal significant damage.

    Watch out for swinging attacks and dark energy. Meg, to the left of the Hydra, will toss HP, MP, and Drive Orbs.

    As the Hydra's HP lowers, it will summon blue pillars of fire. Use "Pegasus Run" to get several "Attack" commands and avoid the fire.

    Deal enough damage to stun the Hydra and use "Vanquish" one last time to win the battle.
Tips
  • Use Valor Form when the Hydra lowers its heads to deal a lot of damage.
  • "Pegasus Run" is useful for avoiding the blue pillars of fire.
  • Meg can provide HP, MP, and Drive Orbs.

After the battle, Sora receives the [HERO'S CREST] Keyblade. Minnie calls for help, so head to Disney Castle.

Disney Castle:

  • Items: Blazing Stone, Mythril Shard, Mythril Stone, Star Recipe, AP Boost, Torn Pages, Disney Castle Map, Blazing Shard.
  • Puzzle Pieces: Two Sides #3, Two Sides #12, Heart #1, Heart #2.
  • Abilities/Spells: Auto Summon (Sora).
  • Bonuses: Accessory Slot (Sora).
  • Enemies: Shadow, Soldier, Minute Bomb, Bolt Tower.

Courtyard Brawl:

  1. Save upon arrival.
  2. Use Valor Form to High Jump over the archway to get [TWO SIDES #3].
  3. Move into the Castle Courtyard and fight Shadows, Soldiers, and Minute Bombs.
  4. Collect items and puzzle pieces:
    • From the Gummi Hangar entrance, jump on the ledge ahead for a [CHEST] with a [BLAZING STONE] (5/8).
    • Head to the corner to your right for a [CHEST] with an [AP BOOST] (3/8).
    • Continue clockwise to find a [MYTHRIL SHARD] (7/8).
    • Leap to the corner to collect the [TWO SIDES #12] puzzle piece.
    • At the other corner, jump up to a [CHEST] with a [MYTHRIL SHARD] (1/8).
    • Jump across the gap to find a [MYTHRIL STONE] (4/8).
    • Climb atop the hedge for [HEART #1].
    • At the base of the center castle-hedge is a [CHEST] with a [BLAZING SHARD] (6/8).
    • Open the [CHEST] atop the castle for the [STAR RECIPE] (2/8).
    • Jump around it to claim [HEART #2].
  5. Exit at the corner that is at 8 o'clock from the entrance to reach the Colonnade.

Minute Bomb:

  • HP: 34
  • Experience: 21
  • Drop: Blazing Shard (6%), Bright Shard (3%)
  • This Heartless attacks by charging in a straight line. Use Guard to block the attack and break its skull cap, rendering it immobile.
  • If you damage the Minute Bomb, it will start a countdown. When the number reaches 0, it explodes for massive damage. Use the Reaction Command "Dodge Roll" before this happens to dodge and cause the Minute Bomb to blow itself up without harming Sora.

Fight through the Colonnade, which contains Shadows. In the Library, you'll find Queen Minnie and a save point.
