How to Get Tancred's Key in Lords of the Fallen: To Tancreds In Of

Find the Boss Arena: After navigating all the tricky platforms, holes, and ladder climbs down the Tower of Penance, you'll eventually reach the bottom. Look for a tunnel on your right that leads to an outdoor view. This is where the boss fight awaits.

Prepare for the Fight: Before heading into the tunnel, it's a good idea to find a Vestige Seed nearby. This will give you a convenient checkpoint right before the boss, so you don't have to trek all the way back down if things go south.

Defeat Tancred (Phase 1): Tancred starts off as a radiant knight. He uses heavy, holy-based attacks, including blast waves, mirror images, and laser beams. Most of these attacks are pretty slow and well-telegraphed, so keep an eye out and dodge accordingly.

Defeat Tancred (Phase 2): Once you deplete his health the first time, Tancred will reanimate as a larger, demonic creature. This phase is tougher – he's tankier, faster, and uses lunging leaps, powerful slam attacks, and eventually fire breath attacks once his HP drops below roughly 60%. Your best windows to attack are when he performs his jump attacks, slams, or when he goes into a handstand. Getting behind him is also a great strategy, especially when he's breathing fire. Don't get discouraged if it takes a few tries; learning his patterns is key.

Claim Your Rewards: After you finally defeat Tancred, you'll receive his Umbral Scouring and memory. Right next to his dropped loot, you'll find Tancred's Key.

Use the Elevator: Head back out of the tunnel and use the key on the elevator. Going up once will take you back to the main floor, and going up twice will bring you to the beacon rooftop. You can also grab the Radiant Purifier armor from the chests near the elevator bridge on the rooftop if you choose.
