Boss 13: Queen Metroid [LB13]

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Queen Metroid is vulnerable to Seeker Missiles and Plasma Beam attacks on her neck crystals.
• Metroid larvae are vulnerable to Super Missiles when frozen.

Phases:

1. Larva Phase: The Queen releases Metroid larvae. Freeze them with your beam and destroy them with Super Missiles or Seeker Missiles. Use Diffusion Beam to freeze multiple at once. If a Metroid grabs you, use Morph Ball bombs. Be aware the Queen can break larvae out of ice.
2. Crystal Phase: After larvae are defeated, the Queen grows crystals on her neck and attacks. Dodge ramming with Sense Move and fire breath by jumping (Space Jump for double jump). Use Plasma Beam and Seeker Missiles to destroy the crystals.
3. Internal Phase: After a cutscene, shoot the Queen's chest. Use the Grapple Beam to enter her stomach. Inside, charge a Power Bomb and release it to defeat her.
4. Final Encounter: After another cutscene, shoot any Desbrachians blocking your view with missiles. Lock onto the girl in the center of the room and press A to finish the game.

Strategy:

• Utilize Sense Move frequently to dodge attacks.
• Do not try to destroy Metroid larvae unless they are frozen.
• If a Metroid grabs you, quickly enter Morph Ball mode and drop a bomb.
• Use the Seeker Missile ability to target multiple Metroid larvae effectively.
• When the Queen attacks with fire breath, use Space Jump to gain extra height and evade it.
• Avoid using charge shots while jumping, as it can lead to falling into attacks.
• After defeating the Queen, be prepared for a final sequence involving Desbrachians and a specific target.
