A complete walkthrough for Sector 3 of Metroid: Other M, guiding you through the Crater, Furnace, and the Vorash boss fight. Includes item locations and strategies.
Walkthrough
- 1From the Elevator to Main Sector, head left into the Crater Interior.
- 2Climb the slope to the launch module and return to Crater Control.
- 3Head outside to Crater Approach. Cross the first two breaks in the bridge, then use a Shinespark to cross the largest gap.
- 4In Floor Observation Room, defeat the Asborean, use the terminal to unlock the elevator door, and retrace your steps, Shinesparking over the broken bridge.
- 5Exit the Elevator to Main Sector to the right, entering Furnace Entry.
- 6Witness Anthony's fight with the Rhedogian. Target the red module hanging from the ceiling and use the Grapple Beam (A while targeting) to swing to Anthony. Jump off (A or 2) to join the fight. Defeat the Rhedogian.
- 7Proceed through the next passage into Molten Passage.
- 8Defeat the Magdollite, then swing across the Grapple Points.
- 9Before the door at the end, jump down a small blue passage to find an ENERGY PART.
- 10Return to the upper floor and proceed into BLAST FURNACE OBSERVATION.
- 11Drop down the hole to your left, use the Grapple Point to reach a ball tunnel. Roll through and Bomb away obstructions.
- 12Roll to the other end and use the terminal to open the furnace hatch. Enter the furnace and use the Grapple Point.
- 13Boss Fight: VORASH
- Avoid the Vorash's lava attacks.
- 14Blast its obvious weak spot when possible.
- 15When it roars, target the Grapple Point in its mouth and use the Grapple Beam to pull it from the lava, exposing its underbelly for Missile attacks.
- 16After half health, the Grapple Point is destroyed. The Vorash will crawl onto the rocks; attack it with beam shots to finish it off.
- 17Exit the furnace, climb the shaft, and head out the door to find a Nav Room.
- 18Adam instructs you to head west, but you must finish the current area first.
Tips
- Use Shinespark to cross large gaps in Crater Approach.
- The Vorash fight requires precise use of the Grapple Beam to expose its weak points.
