If you've got the armor skill Capture Guru, it's a game-changer. When you've marked the monster with a Paintball, its icon will flash on your screen the exact moment it's ready to be captured. This can save you a ton of time, as monsters are often capturable before they even start limping. It's also super helpful for smaller monsters, preventing you from accidentally slaying them when you meant to capture.
Remember, luring the monster into the trap means standing somewhat near it. Don't get too close and risk getting hit while you're trying to set up the capture.
