Alright, let's talk about the Diablos. This thing is seriously called the 'devil of the sands' for a reason, and it's not messing around. Its massive, curled horns are no joke, and it loves to charge headfirst into anything that bothers it. You can't even fight this guy until G Rank, so you know it's going to be a tough one. Make sure you're ready!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Elemental: Ice is your best bet here.
• Status: Poison can also be effective.
• Breakable Parts: You can break its Horns (twice), Back (once), and Tail (can be severed).

Phases:

1. Standard Mode: Diablos uses its signature attacks, including charges and tail swings.
2. Rage Mode: Diablos becomes more aggressive and its attacks hit harder. It also becomes immune to bombs when enraged.
3. Burrowing: Diablos will dig underground to reposition or launch surprise attacks. This is a key moment to exploit its weaknesses.

Strategy:

• Mind those Horns: Seriously, those horns are its main weapon. Keep an eye on them and try to dodge when it lowers its head to charge.
• Exploit the Charge: If you can bait Diablos into charging towards a cliff or wall, you can dodge out of the way and leave it stuck for a few free hits.
• Sonic Bomb Surprise: This is HUGE. When Diablos burrows underground and disappears completely, toss a Sonic Bomb. It'll pop right out of the sand, stunned and vulnerable, almost like a Pitfall Trap! This is your prime opportunity for damage. Just remember, this doesn't work when it's enraged.
• Flash Bomb Fun: If Diablos takes to the air, a Flash Bomb can bring it crashing down for more free hits. Most Flying Wyverns hate these things.
• Watch out for the Tail: Its tail attacks have a surprisingly large range, and the double 180 whip is no joke.
• Hipcheck Avoidance: The hipcheck looks a bit silly, but just stay clear if you see it coming.
• Burrowing Tactics: When it burrows, be ready to run! For the Burrowing Tackle, just sprint around like crazy until it pops out. For the Burrowing Charge, it'll come out and immediately charge, so be prepared to dodge.
• High Grade Earplugs: Diablos's Sonic Roar won't hurt you directly, but it'll stun you in place. High Grade Earplugs will negate this, keeping you safe from follow-up attacks.
• Mounting for Breaks: To break its back, mounting and toppling it multiple times is your best bet.

Area:

• Dunes: Diablos starts in Area 2, roams through Areas 1, 2, 3, 4, and 10, and rests in Area 5.
