This side story, 'On the Precipice,' kicks off in Orewell. You'll find the quest giver, a merchant, hanging out in the northwest part of town. He's in a really bad spot after a shady trade left him with nothing, and he's contemplating a rather grim end off the nearby cliff. Luckily, you can step in and offer him a way out!
Walkthrough
- 1Find the Merchant: Head to the northwest corner of Orewell to find the distressed merchant. He'll explain his predicament.
- 2Option 1: Challenge the Merchant: You can choose to fight the merchant directly. He's not much of a challenge, and defeating him will snap him out of his despair, resolving the quest.
- 3Option 2: Seek Information: If you prefer not to fight him, you can head to Atlasdam. In the Palace Gate area, look to the right of the Royal Academy's main entrance for an NPC named 'Know-it-all' Milo.
- 4Inquire/Scrutinize Milo: Speak with Milo and use the Inquire or Scrutinize ability to learn about 'The Jellypeno.'
- 5Return to Orewell: Take the information you gained from Milo back to the merchant in Orewell. Presenting him with this knowledge will complete the side story.
