In Search of Father (II)

First things first, you absolutely must have completed the 'In Search of Father (I)' side story before you can even think about starting this one. Once that's done, your destination is the Moonstruck Coast. The closest town you'll likely be coming from is Goldshore.

Exit Goldshore and begin heading south. Just keep following the path until you reach the Moonstruck Coast area.

Once you're in Moonstruck Coast, locate the save point. Kit, the person you're looking for, can be found a short distance to the east of this save point.

Kit has a lead on his father's location, but he needs to leave the troupe to pursue it. Before he goes, he wants to help you out one last time, though he's not exactly specific about what he needs.

Chat with the woman standing directly to the west of Kit. She'll mention needing some Lapis Lazuli for her paint. This is your clue!

Your next stop is Grandport. Head over there and look for the Traveling Merchant who is usually found between the shops.

You'll need to acquire the Lapis Lazuli from this Traveling Merchant. You can either steal it using a Thief's Steal ability or purchase it if you prefer.

Once you have the Lapis Lazuli, return to Kit on the Moonstruck Coast. Hand over the item, and you'll successfully complete the quest!
