Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter Lorn Cathedral: Cellars. After the initial scene, use the save point.
  2. 2
Head east down the stairs to find a chest containing an Herb of Revival.
  3. 3
Return to the save point and go west to the end. Open the chest by the railing for a Refreshing Jam.
  4. 4
Descend the stairs and continue east to another chest containing Ice Soulstone L.
  5. 5
Double back to the split and head south. Descend the stairs to find a chest with a Gleaming Amulet.
  6. 6
Go back up and head west. Take the two staircases leading north, or the one going west to a new area.
  7. 7
In the new area, open the singular chest for a Wakeful Stone. Return to the previous screen.
  8. 8
Climb the eastern set of stairs and locate the hidden passageway to the east. Open the purple chest for an Enchanted Sword.
  9. 9
Continue west to the second main area of the dungeon. Stay on the upper path and head west to find a chest with an Energizing Pomegranate (L).
  10. 10
Take the lower path, bypassing the stairs, to find a chest in the clearing on the left containing an Inspiriting Plum Basket.
  11. 11
Venture south down the stairs and follow the path until you see stairs going up. Ascend them and pass through the hidden trail heading west.
  12. 12
Open the chest above you for a Refreshing Jam.
  13. 13
Find the hidden path to the right of the chest to get a Curious Antique.
  14. 14
Back in the hidden passageway, continue right to a higher ledge with a chest containing a Void Amulet.
  15. 15
Return to the bottom of the map, then head west and north to a save point. Heal and save.
  16. 16
    Continue north to confront Darius.

BOSS - Darius

  • Weaknesses: Spears, Daggers, Axes, Ice, Wind.
  • Shields: Starts with 4, gains 2 upon recovery from break (max 8). Dagger is always a viable option.
  • Skills:
    • Steal Item: Seals off item command (used once at start).
    • Steal SP: Drains ~75% of a single target's SP.
    • Steal HP: Deals damage and heals Darius for the same amount.
    • Steal BP: Deals less damage, removes 2 BP from a single target.
    • Sweep: Medium damage to the entire party.
    • Will o' Wisp: Heavy single-target fire damage.
    • Nighthawk: Debuffs physical attack and defense.
  • Phase 2 (around 50% HP):
    • Gains 3 actions per turn.
    • Hellfire: Two-hit fire attack, chance to inflict Unconscious.
  • Phase 3 (at 25% HP or less):
    • May enter boost mode (dark aura).
    • Call Comrade: Removes other party members, leaving only Therion. If Therion falls, it's game over.

Strategy:

  • Exploit Darius's weaknesses, especially daggers with Therion's Steal HP/SP.
  • Break Darius quickly to recover stolen items.
  • Prioritize breaking Darius when he enters boost mode at low HP to prevent Call Comrade.
  • Alternatively, defeat him quickly before he can use Call Comrade.
  • Maintain good physical defense (e.g., using Hired Help's Mercenaries and Shackle Foe) and some elemental defense.
  • Counter Nighthawk's defense debuff immediately.
