The Devourer of Men has 11 shields. Its weaknesses change throughout the fight.

First weakness set: spears, daggers, staves, and fire.

Second weakness set: axes, bows, and wind.

Third weakness set: swords and light.

The Devourer of Men can use Spirit Away to remove party members from battle. They can be returned by breaking the boss.

The boss can resummon the Deadly Spores at 50% HP, but only once.

The boss's attacks include Charge, Black Magic (inflicts Blindness), and Devour (instant kill, heals boss). Shadow Magic is an upgraded version of Black Magic that hits twice.

Boost physical defense to mitigate damage.

Apply Shackle Foe to the boss if possible.

If Tressa is a Runelord, use Transfer Rune and apply an elemental rune.

Tressa can use Rest to cure ailments and recover SP.

Focus on defeating the Deadly Spores twice to make the fight easier.

Winnehild’s Battle Cry is effective against the Deadly Spores.

The Runelord’s Light Rune is useful for the boss's final weakness set.
