Alright, let's tackle 'The Price of Vengeance' side story in Octopath Traveler. You can actually pick this one up pretty early, as soon as you get to Noblecourt. However, you'll probably need to wait until Chapter 4 to actually finish it because you'll have to travel to a town that opens up later. Don't worry, it's totally doable!

The quest starts in Eastern Noblecourt, right outside the tavern. You'll meet a former mercenary captain who was double-crossed by three of his own crew. Naturally, he wants you to go out and hunt them down. Your job is to find these three guys and use either Challenge or Provoke on them. Once you've got what you need from each of them, you'll bring it back to the captain to wrap things up.

Here's the breakdown:

First, you'll need to head to Atlasdam. Look for the first target to the right of the tavern. He's a 'Crest-bearing Drunk' and has a strength of six. After you deal with him, you'll snag your first Mercenary Crest.

Next up is Goldshore. Make your way to the southern part of town, specifically the beach area. There you'll find the second guy, a 'Crest-bearing Ruffian', also with a strength of six. He'll drop the second Mercenary Crest.

Finally, the last man is waiting for you in Duskbarrow. Head just to the left of the inn. This one's a 'Crest-bearing Swindler', and yep, he's also strength six. Defeat him to get the third and final Mercenary Crest.

Once you've collected all three Mercenary Crests from these betrayers, just head back to the questgiver in Noblecourt. Hand them over, and you'll complete the side story and get your reward: 6,500 Leaves and the Veteran's Helm. Nice!
