Alright, so you want to learn about Caped Mario? Awesome choice! This is basically Super Mario with a cape, and that cape lets you fly. To get it, you just need to grab a Cape Feather. Flying can be a bit tricky when you're starting out, so don't get discouraged if it takes a few tries – practice makes perfect!

Here's the deal on how to get airborne: first, you need some open space to get a running start. When Mario's arms are stretched out to his sides, hit the Jump button. This will send you soaring! To keep yourself up in the air while you're flying, you need to press the opposite direction you're moving in whenever you start to drop. For instance, if you're flying to the right and start falling, press left. This little trick lets you stay airborne for a good while.

Want to come down? You can hold down the Y button to descend slowly. If you want to get down faster and maybe take out some enemies on the ground, press Y and Down together. This move can defeat or damage enemies below you, but be careful – if you're high up, you might accidentally land in a pit!

Just a heads-up: if you get hit by an enemy, you'll revert back to Small Mario. Get hit again, and you lose a life. If you happen to have an item waiting in your item stock, it'll automatically drop when you get injured, so keep an eye on that.
