Essential oils are a crucial part of Geralt's alchemical arsenal in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. These potent concoctions are applied to your swords to grant temporary buffs against specific enemy types, making challenging encounters more manageable.

Crafting and Application:

To craft essential oils, you'll need to find the relevant recipes, which can be purchased from herbalists and alchemists, found in loot, or received as quest rewards. Once you have a recipe, you can craft the oil from the Alchemy tab in your menu. After the initial crafting, the oil will automatically replenish when you meditate, provided you have sufficient alcohol (like Alcohest or Dwarven Spirit) in your inventory.

Essential oils are applied to your swords via the character screen. You can select which oil to apply, and it will remain active until its duration expires or you apply a different oil. It's vital to choose the correct oil for the enemy you are facing to maximize your damage output and survivability.
