Chariots

Learn how to use and counter chariots in Total War: Rome II. Chariots are fast, powerful, and good at breaking infantry lines.

How to Counter Chariots:

• Chariots require a few units to take out effectively.
• The best method is to pincer them (attack from both flanks) and prevent them from moving.
• Chariots have low defense and die quickly if they cannot move.
• Heavy Cavalry and infantry work well against them if pincered effectively.
• Fire arrows can be used, but are not extremely effective.
• Archer chariots are harder to pincer, but can be led to the end of the map where they have no place to run.

How to Use Chariots:

• If you play a faction with chariots, use them to break lines and flank infantry.
• They are overall pretty good units.
