Learn how to delay Archimonde for 45 minutes and prevent him from reaching the World Tree in Warcraft III: Reforged's final mission.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
At the start, max out your Wisp (a worker unit) queue and hotkey your Tree of Eternity (your main base structure).
  2. 2
Pull two Wisps off lumber and send one to each additional gold mine located northwest and southeast of your base.
  3. 3
Hotkey all your starting units together and send them to the front of the human base. Rally all Wisps here for now.
  4. 4
Use Furion's Tranquility (a healing ability) for EVERY attack.
  5. 5
For the first few attacks, use your units up ahead while protectors are building. Focus on keeping your heroes and Shandris (an improved archer NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you)) alive, but losing other units to stay out of upkeep (a resource penalty) is acceptable.
  6. 6
Build a row of Ancient Protectors 4 wide on the top and bottom, and as deep as possible, behind the human base entrance, right in front of the castle. Leave a path down the middle.
  7. 7
Whenever the Lich hero appears, focus all units on him and activate Tyrande's Flaming Arrows (an ability). His Death and Decay (an area-of-effect attack) damages protectors significantly.
  8. 8
Once your trees are completed and entangling mines (a defensive ability), train 5 Wisps from each Tree of Eternity to harvest gold from the nearby mines, and then train 3 more from each to harvest lumber in the area.
  9. 9
Hotkey all 3 of your Trees of Eternity together to train Wisps for assembling protectors. Rally them to the human base.
  10. 10
For the first three waves, keep your heroes and units at the entrance of the human base and use Tranquility each time.
  11. 11
Consider using Thorns Aura (a passive ability) for Furion to make melee units like Ghouls easier to kill.
  12. 12
Use your Druid of the Claws' Roar (a damage-boosting ability) to help with damage. Stay in no upkeep if possible, as protectors are your main defense.
  13. 13
Until about 39 minutes remaining, keep your heroes and units forward of the human towers while building many protectors in the back. Jaina's units and your heroes can defend the initial waves.
  14. 14
With about 12 Wisps on lumber and 15 on gold, have all Trees rallying to the human base and produce a large number of protectors.
  15. 15
If gold becomes an issue, stop or slow Wisp production and wait for a wave to pass to accumulate gold, then resume production. You will likely lose towers but should reassemble them quickly.
  16. 16
Around 35 minutes remaining, build towers all over the human base.
  17. 17
Use Tyrande's Starfall (an ultimate ability) every other attack. Keep her and Furion at the front with auto-attack enabled for arrows. Jaina's Mana Regeneration Aura (a buff) helps keep hero ultimates available.
  18. 18
At 33 minutes remaining, stop building protectors when the next wave arrives. Rally all new Wisps to the orc base, but leave your heroes to defend the current attack. After this, retreat your heroes to the orc base.
  19. 19
The human base needs to last until about 30 minutes remaining.
  20. 20
For orc defense, surround each Watch Tower with Ancient Protectors.
  21. 21
Start Hunter's Hall upgrades for Hippogryph Riders and the two Archer upgrades from the Ancient of War.
  22. 22
Pull 4 Wisps to build 2 more Ancients of War and 2 more Ancients of Wind.
  23. 23
Once you have about 20 Ancient Protectors, start training Archers and Hippogryphs in equal numbers, aiming for about 85 food capacity.
  24. 24
As gold allows, build more protectors. Keep this attack group maxed out as a priority.
  25. 25
Use Tranquility every wave for the orc base defense.
  26. 26
Keep upgrades for the orc units rolling and continue training Wisps for more protectors.
  27. 27
Keep all units near the front of the orc base for each attack so the orcs can support you.
  28. 28
Order Hippogryphs to attack the Lich hero first if he attacks, then Meat Wagons (a siege unit) second. Hippogryphs can destroy a Meat Wagon quickly.
  29. 29
A recommended strategy is to keep a group of 10 riders with Tyrande and Furion, a couple for replacements, and dedicate the rest of food space to training Wisps for more protectors.
  30. 30
Around 17 minutes remaining, stop producing protectors.
  31. 31
At 15 minutes remaining, defend the next attack as your last one and retreat back to your base.
  32. 32
For your base's defense, build protectors right around the Fountain of Health (a healing structure).
  33. 33
Maintain a group of 10 Hippogryph Riders with your heroes and leave a small path to the Fountain so heroes can heal if needed.
  34. 34
After assembling initial protectors, focus exclusively on Hippogryph Riders.
