Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon keeps what made Armored Core its own thing, but you still have what makes a souls-like what it is: difficulty and rewarding. You'll be experiencing the euphoria of defeating incredibly powerful bosses that you would think it's a "mecha souls" game. However, this plays nothing like it and it will make you rethink how you use a controller, at least it did for me. Having to press all 4 shoulder buttons in quick succession depending on the weapon you want to use will make you shift your fingers into a new position.

Overall, the game is fantastic - the scope of things, the different endings the game has and the amount of customization is just incredible.
