Alright, let's dive into Episode 9 of Disgaea 5! This episode throws a few different map layouts at us, so we'll need to adjust our tactics as we go. Get ready for some tricky enemy formations and environmental effects!

Land of Rush

This first map is all about positioning and dealing with enemies who love to throw their buddies around. You'll face:

• Lv. 46 Lightweight (x4)
• Lv. 45 Champ of Fighters (x5)
• Lv. 45 Thunder Fist (x3)

These Wrestlers are pretty smart; on their turn, they'll toss their allies closer to you. Once they're isolated, they'll use skills like Heroic Backbreaker to lift your characters, setting them up for Super Piledriver on the next turn. It's super annoying because a lifted character is basically out of the fight until they can act. Keep an eye out for the 'Fire Body' Evility on most enemies – it gives them a 25% fire resistance, so maybe hold off on those fire spells unless you're sure it's worth it.

Dissolving Wasteland

Things get a bit more complicated here with a map covered in Geo Panels. Your enemies are:

• Lv. 47 Lightweight (x3)
• Lv. 45 Destroyer (x2)
• Lv. 45 Destroyer (x2)
• Lv. 45 Destroyer (x2)
• Lv. 45 Valkyrie (x2)
• Lv. 45 Valkyrie (x2)
• Lv. 45 Valkyrie (x2)

The map has Blue Geo Panels (ATK +50%) and Yellow Geo Panels (DEF -50%), plus No Entry panels. Dealing with these can be a pain, but there's a neat trick! If you have a character with a Throw stat of 7 (like Logan), you can toss them to the spot shown in the image. From there, have them destroy the two Geo Symbols. This triggers a chain reaction, giving you a One-Time Bonus and, more importantly, severely weakening all the enemies. After that, it's just a matter of mopping them up.

Senseless Lava Flow

This map has a Netherworld Effect that reduces your fire resistance by 50%. Thankfully, only the Cait Sith enemies have fire skills, so once they're dealt with, you're mostly in the clear. The enemies here are:

• Lv. 47 Holy Swordswoman (x6)
• Lv. 47 Nekomata (x5)
• Lv. 45 Cait Sith (x4)

The Nekomata at the top have the highest attack power, so be careful. The Swordswomen are a real threat early on, as they can attack with both bows and swords. Try to use cover and defend until you can close the distance safely.

Salamander Ferocity

This is another pretty linear map. You'll fight through Gremlins and Destroyers before reaching the Welterweights and Swordswomen up top. The enemies are:

• Lv. 49 Welterweight (x2)
• Lv. 49 Holy Swordswoman (x2)
• Lv. 47 Destroyer (x4)
• Lv. 45 Gremlin (x8)

Watch out for the Gremlins; they have a basic Fire spell and Resist Break, which can be nasty if you have characters weak to fire. The Welterweights will toss the Swordswomen towards you at the start, so be ready for that. The rest of the fight is a straightforward slugfest, so take your time and let them come to you when they're in range.

Scorching Heart

Big news here: Red Magnus gets a new Unique Evility called Heart of a Leader. This boosts his stats by 3% for every unit in his Squad. Also, his Super Olympia Overload skill is now Super Universe! The enemies you'll face are:

• Lv. 50 Lost Squad Female
• Lv. 50 Lilim
• Lv. 50 Red Blob
• L. 47 Lost Squad Member (x6)
• Lv. 47 Set (x5)

This map is all about managing Red Magnus's new power and dealing with the varied enemy lineup. Keep an eye on his Squad size to maximize his buffs!
