Master Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance's Netherworld Services! Learn about unlocking NPCs like the Recruiter, Quest Shop, Innocent Shop, and more for base customization and character growth.
Walkthrough
- 1Dimensional Prinny: Unlocked by default. Allows access to unlocked battles. Battles not yet played are marked with a “New” marker.
- 2Hospital: Unlocked by default. Used to heal HP, SP, and revive fallen units. Costs HL. Reaching certain thresholds in spending provides Legendary rewards.
- 3Data and Memories: NPCs that allow viewing game data such as collected items, skills, and story events. The Data NPC also provides access to Netherworld Records for stat information.
- 4Weapon/Item Shops: Sell equipment and items. Product Rank (max 16) determines items for sale, increasing with story progression or via a Dark Assembly bill (once per episode). Customer Rank (max 12) increases with purchases/sales, affecting buy/sell prices.
- 5Recruiter: Unlocks during Episode 1. Allows creation of new characters for unlocked classes and tiers. Costs HL to create characters, with a level cap related to the highest-level character (e.g., level 7999 at max level 9999).
- 6Quest Shop: Unlocks during Episode 1. Offers quests that can be completed during battles or other activities. Completing quests is the only way to unlock new character classes. Colored quests remain, while others recycle.
- 7Innocent Shop: Unlocks upon entering Episode 2. Allows moving and combining subdued Innocents on items. The Innocent Farm unlocks in Episode 9, allowing Innocents to double in value and breed.
- 8Skill Shop: Unlocks during Episode 2. Allows strengthening skills using Mana, increasing SP cost. Also allows learning and selling Evilities for Mana.
- 9Squad Shop: Unlocks in Episode 3. Allows assigning characters to squads for various benefits. Many squads can be unlocked through different actions.
- 10Dark Assembly: Unlocks in Episode 3. A system where players propose bills that are voted on by senators. Bills can affect gameplay elements like unlocking maps or changing character colors. Bills have a success percentage, and can be forced with bribes, by defeating senators, or by paying a large sum if they fail.
- 11Interrogation Room: Unlocks in Episode 3. Prisoners captured in battle are sent here. Prisoners can be used to level up Squads (experience equals prisoner level). Interrogating prisoners (draining their SP bar) triples Squad EXP gain and allows for creating Extracts or recruiting them. Recruiting requires the character's class/rank to be unlockable by the player.
- 12Item World: Unlocks near the end of Episode 3. A series of randomly generated dungeons within items that power them up. All enemies must be defeated on each floor to increase its level. Includes Item Assembly (for item stat bills using Item Points), Point Exchange (to gain Item Points), and rewards for floors cleared.
- 13Cheat Shop: Unlocked by passing a Dark Assembly bill. Allows adjustment of EXP, Mana, Money, Weapon Mastery, and Special Skill EXP gains. Also features an enemy strength modifier (up to 20 stars).
- 14Map Editor: Unlocked via the Dark Assembly. Allows creation of custom maps or editing cleared story maps. Challenge Maps are user-created and offer no rewards. Money Maps, unlocked by clearing the Carnage equivalent of Martial Training 5, can be used to earn EXP, Mana, and other resources.
- 15Nether Research Squad: Unlocks at the beginning of Episode 4. Sends characters to research other Netherworlds, finding treasures, capturing prisoners, and discovering new Netherworlds. Useful for acquiring new equipment and filling out the Data NPC's item list.
- 16Curry Shop: Unlocks at the beginning of Episode 5. Allows consumption of premade curry or creation of custom curry for buffs. Requires a character in the Curry Connoisseur squad. Custom curry can have up to three main ingredients and an extra slot. Curry can be aged for up to 100 battles.
- 17Chara World: Unlocks at the beginning of Episode 6. A board game where a single character can be strengthened. Difficulty affects board size and enemy strength. Initial cost is 100 Mana, increasing by 10x per visit up to 100,000 Mana. Reincarnating resets the cost.
- 18Netherworld Edit Shop: Allows customization of the player's base, including using story maps as a base and rearranging NPCs.
- 19Alchemy Shop: Unlocks after beating the main story. Allows item creation from a list that grows with the Alchemy Squad level. Requires a character in the Alchemy Squad. Items are produced automatically as battles are completed.
