Complete Episode 1: Story stages in disgaea 5 alliance of vengeance, including tutorial battles and character creation.
Walkthrough
- 1Dried Up Wasteland: This stage serves as a tutorial for the battle system, introducing Base Panel deployment, attacking, combos, and Team Attacks. After the tutorial, you will face two Lv. 1 Fighters and two Lv. 1 Fury Fatalists. Killia starts at level 3, making this battle manageable. Focus on gaining EXP for your other characters.
- 2Character Creation: After the first battle, you are required to create at least one new character. Speak to the Recruiter NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) to see available options. You will need HL (the game’s currency) to create new characters. It is recommended to create a Witch/Magician for elemental spells and a Cleric/Clergy for healing and the Espoir spell. When choosing a character's capability, avoid 'Good-for-Nothing' as it requires removing five points. Equip your new recruits and proceed to the next map via the Dimension Prinny.
- 3Shriveled Vein: This battle tutorial introduces Lifting and Throwing mechanics. You will face Lv. 2 Logan, two Lv. 1 Fury Fatalists, and two Lv. 1 Fighters who have ranged weapons. Seraphina can snipe a Fighter from a barrel. The rest of your troops can engage the other Fighter on the right, then move up to defeat the Fury Fatalists. Finally, defeat Logan.
- 4Arid Blood Zone: This battle features seven enemies: two Lv. 2 Imps, four Lv. 2 Petite Orcs, and one Lv. 2 Healer. Focus on the Orc and Imp near your Base Panel first, then move to the upper left to defeat the Orcs there. The Healer has no attacks other than her staff. Be cautious of the Imps' Fire attacks.
- 5Immovable Atrium: This stage has five Lv. 3 Petite Orcs, one Lv. 3 Lady Fighter, and two Lv. 2 Imps. The battle explains Evilities (passive skills). Enemies hit slightly harder due to their increased level. Use your Healer/Cleric to mend wounds and avoid charging head-on. The enemies are familiar, with the Lady Fighter being the only new threat with her bow.
- 6Sterile Atrium: This battle introduces Revenge Mode and Overload Skills. Enemies include five Lv. 4 Petite Orcs, two Lv. 4 Imps, one Lv. 4 Fighter, and a neutral Lv. 5 Red Magnus. The Revenge Gauge fills as you take damage, allies die, or you defeat enemies in Revenge Mode. In Revenge Mode, your critical rate is 100%, skill SP cost is 1, and damage taken is reduced by 25%. Overlords can use Overloads in Revenge Mode. Red Magnus is in Revenge Mode and has activated his Overload, Super Olympia. He is neutral and will attack anyone nearby, including enemies. It is best to stay away from him.
Tips
- Listen to the tutorial dialogue for character voices and explanations, or skip it if you are familiar with Disgaea games.
- When creating characters, consider their roles: Witches for offense and Clerics for support.
- Lifting and Throwing can be used to reach distant enemies, chests, or to reposition fragile characters away from danger.
- Red Magnus is a neutral enemy in Sterile Atrium and will attack both you and other enemies. Avoid engaging him directly while he is in his Overload state.
