Navigate the treacherous Cursewood and ascend to Heavenspeak Fort in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Discover hidden loot, face tough enemies like Cyclops and Chimeras, and find your way through challenging terrain.
Walkthrough
- 1From the Beast Cave, head west to the Cursewood cliffs. Follow them north, collecting loot like Grandgrapes and ore.
- 2Defeat the Bandit camp atop a hill. Search southwest of the camp for apple trees and a scalable rock formation with a rounded chest containing Black Matter.
- 3Head east to find the main road. Follow it north until it intersects with the Deos Hills road.
- 4At the intersection, a smashed wagon triggers a cutscene. Search the wagon wreckage for two Parcels. Be aware of female Bandits (Striders and Mages) and Wolves.
- 5Continue north. If it's night, veer east off the road to encounter a Skeleton Lord.
- 6The road ascends into rugged cliffs. Follow the switchbacks north-east.
- 7North of a large roadside boulder, find a Bandit camp.
- 8Detour west from the boulder, follow the cliffs north to find a Chimera. Defeat it and search its lair on a northern projection for a rounded chest containing Gran Soren Shield, Morgenstern, and Tight Cinquedea.
- 9Return to the road and follow it north-east, then west.
- 10Veering east off the road here may lead to the 'Soulflayer Canyon East Entrance' ledge, but it's not the time to enter.
- 11Continue west along the road to reach Heavenspeak Fort.
- 12Follow the mountain path, which trends south-west, bounded by cliffs.
- 13Encounter groups of female Bandits, watch out for archers.
- 14An armored Cyclops may block a southern uphill path. Defeat it and any accompanying Bandits.
- 15Loot a square chest on the rocks where the Cyclops and Bandits were camping, containing Adventurer’s Cloak, Iron Lorica, and Snapdaggers.
Tips
- Skeleton Lords are tough, skeletal undead Mystic Knights. They are weak to fire, holy, and bludgeoning damage. Getting behind them is key.
- Female Bandits are typically Striders or Mages, not Fighters or Warriors.
- Be cautious of archers on the mountain path who can knock you off ledges.
- Cyclops can knock you off cliffs, so be mindful of your positioning.
