Walkthrough

    From the Corridor of Emptiness, head north-west to reach the Fortress of Remembrance.

    From the entrance, go west onto a stone platform. Look down at the bridge below, then head south down stairs. Undead will attack.

    As you descend, Death will appear for a scripted encounter. Fight on the bridge if engaging, as horizontal movement is key. If not, run away. Death will disappear after the encounter.

    Continue west across the bridge, ignoring stairs to the north, to find two rounded chests.

    Note: On subsequent playthroughs, a Banshee may appear on this bridge along with Undead. The scavenger for this area, an Elder Ogre, appears in a cubby west of the bridge.

    Head up the previously ignored stairs north. You may find ore veins.

    Climb the ladder at the top of the stairs to reach a small room with a square chest.

    From this room, go north through a doorway and follow a hallway curving west.

    In the hallway, defeat two Skeleton Brutes and loot a square chest.

    At the end of the hallway is another small square room. The rest of the level is through a doorway to the north. To the south is a door to a side area.

    Enter the side area and head down stairs to the east to reach a hallway running north. This area resembles the Garden of Ignominy but with fire.

    Defeat either a Pyre Saurian or a Giant Geo Saurian lurking amongst the flames.

    Continue north to find two more Saurians and two rounded chests.

    Proceed north to the statue room. At the entrance, to the east, is a rounded chest.

    West of the statues is another rounded chest. A third rounded chest is to the east by cut stones, near stairs leading down to the hall.

    Go down the stairs to the hall, then north up a Spider-infested hallway.

    Go down more stairs and turn west to reach the fountain room.

    In the fountain room, you may encounter Corrupted Pawns (Magick Archer, Strider Types, Mages, Fighters), or potentially Cyclopes and Ogres. Defeat them.

    Loot the fountain room: a rounded chest in the south-eastern corner, a square chest in the southern-end of the central depression, and a final square chest in the north-western corner against a curved wall.

    Note: The scavenger beast for this area is a Cursed Dragon, which will appear in the fountain room.

Monster Info: Banshee

Banshees are similar to standard female Undead but wear soiled white clothes. They can attempt to grapple, flail awkwardly, and fall down frequently. Their scream can knock characters prone with minimal damage.

Giant Geo Saurians are large creatures with substantial health but are not particularly offensive.

Monster Info: Pyre Saurian

Pyre Saurians do not use spears but can leap and bite fiercely, enhanced by their fiery nature. Their most prominent attack is fire breath, which they use from a distance. Melee attackers are vulnerable to immolation. Popping off their tail removes their fire, making them more vulnerable.

Monster Info: Corrupted Pawn

Corrupted Pawns are dangerous foes who have lost their Arisen and are corrupted by Bitterblack Isle's forces. They wield Everfall-quality weapons, are high-leveled, and possess deadly skills similar to the player's.
