Guide to Returning to the Catacombs in dragons dogma dark arisen. Find the First and Second Key to Salvation and all five Gems of Salvation.
Walkthrough
- 1Head back to the Catacombs via the Deos Hills.
- 2From the entrance, proceed south and turn east to find the elevator to the 'Catacombs: Second Level Underground'.
- 3If you have the 'First Key to Salvation': From the elevator, find a door to the south, which leads down some stairs. Use your key to unlock this door.
- 4If you have the 'Second Key to Salvation': Take the elevator down. Head west into a south/south-west running hallway until you reach a gate. Use your key to unlock it.
- 5Dispatch the Stout Undead that appear beyond the gate.
- 6Continue south until you reach stairs running west.
- 7Head up the stairs to the west, then find more stairs heading up north.
- 8The stairs open into a chamber filled with Skeleton Mages. Defeat them all.
- 9Search the room for sarcophagi and an eastern opening overlooking a lower level.
- 10North of the stairs, find a doorway with the inscription: “’Tis shut tight. The door bears five small hollows…”
- 11Locate the Gems of Salvation:
- First Gem of Salvation: In a sarcophagus in the southern-most east/west running tunnel, located in the south-western corner. This tunnel is south of the Skeleton Mage room.
- 12Second Gem of Salvation: In a standing sarcophagus along the eastern wall in the north/south running tunnel east of the Skeleton Mage room.
- 13Third Gem of Salvation: In a sarcophagus accessed via a wooden ramp leading west to an elevated chamber overlooking the Skeleton Mage room.
- 14Fourth Gem of Salvation: In the southern-most sarcophagus found in a tunnel west of the chamber with multiple tunnels, which turns south then west.
- 15Fifth Gem of Salvation: In a sarcophagus north of two Skeletons in a tunnel to the south-east of the chamber with multiple tunnels.
- 16After finding the Fifth Gem, search behind some rocks to the south to find a Giant Coin Pouch (10,000 G).
- 17Return to the door with five small hollows (north of the Skeleton Mage room) and use the five Gems of Salvation to unlock it.
Tips
- The route taken with the 'First Key to Salvation' or 'Second Key to Salvation' is immaterial as there are no unique treasures or monsters on either path.
- The 'Second Key to Salvation' approach is cheaper and more sensible if you have the choice.
- Be prepared to face Skeleton Mages in greater numbers than previously encountered.
- Watch out for Phantoms and Skeletons in the hallways.
