Enter Vault City during the day. Head north, then turn right at the bar and speak to the crying child.

  4. 4
Go east to the rock pile and examine it to find the wrench.

  6. 6
Enter the clinic to the north and go to the room with the Auto-Doc (a contraption).
  7. 7
Repair the Auto-Doc using the tool.
  8. 8
Go south and west, then enter the shack north of the jail. Speak to the man in the green shirt and ask about his flask and Vault 13 for experience.
  9. 9
Go to the tent across from the clinic with a farmer outside. Ask about his work in Vault City, then offer to buy him a plow.

  16. 16
Buy the forged citizenship papers from Skeev for an undisclosed amount of cash.

Tips
  • The Combat Shotgun is a powerful all-around weapon, dealing up to 85 hit points of damage with targeted shots and 10-30 with regular shots. It also has a burst mode.
  • If your Speech skill is not high enough (above 90%), you will need to pay to get Joshua out of the Servant Allocation Center.
  • NPCs (non-player characters) may become less useful later in the game.
