Complete Fallout 2 walkthrough for San Francisco's Chinatown, including Dragon, Lo Pan, Shi Temple, Hubologists, and Oil Rig quests.
Walkthrough
- 1Enter San Francisco and locate the boxing ring in the north. The barechested man is the Dragon, and the other is Lo Pan.
- 2Go right, then north, and enter the Dragon's training center.
- 3Talk to the Dragon, ask who he was fighting, state he must triumph, and declare you can take out Lo Pan.
- 4Accept the Dragon's test to defeat his fighters in ascending order of difficulty. You will be healed after each fight. The last fighter has around 150 hit points.
- 5Go to Lo Pan's training center (directly left of the Dragon's).
- 6Talk to Lo Pan, ask who he was fighting, state the Shi are sheep, and declare you can take out the Dragon.
- 7Accept Lo Pan's test, which is identical to the Dragon's. Defeat his fighters.
- 8Tell Lo Pan you will fight him. He is somewhat easier than some fighters. If not finished quickly, he will use a .223 pistol. You will not receive experience for defeating him.
- 9Go to the Shi temple (directly right).
- 10Enter the Emperor's room and talk to Ken Lee, the Emperor's advisor (wearing a lab coat).
- 11Ask to see the Emperor and give him your name.
- 12Ken Lee will ask you to go to Navarro and get the Vertibird plans (which you already have) and deliver them to Dr. Wong Yi Tze (a rotund Shi man in the computer room near the throne room). You will receive good experience.
- 13Warning: If you haven't delivered the Vertibird plans to the Brotherhood of Steel (BOS), do so first. Matt, the BOS soldier, can make duplicates. After giving them to the BOS, give them to the Shi.
- 14After delivering the plans to the Shi, return to Ken Lee. He will give you a new quest: the death of the Hubologist leader AHS-9.
- 15Head to the Hubologists' hideout. Descend the stairwell and talk to AHS-7.
- 16Express interest in joining the Hubologists. AHS-7 will direct you to the auditorium to hear a speech by Juan Cruz and Vikki Goldman.
- 17Talk to Juan Cruz and Vikki Goldman and agree to join. They will give you a holodisc about Hubology.
- 18Get a Zeta-scan from AHS-7. After completion, state your desire to use your ability for the Hub, the Great Wheel, etc.
- 19Refuse AHS-7's request to kill Badger. The scan should increase your luck by one, costing karma points.
- 20Find AHS-9 (a man wearing a tuxedo, near the auditorium). Kill him.
- 21Eliminate the rest of the Hubologists.
- 22Return to the Shi temple and tell Ken Lee you killed AHS-9. You will gain access to speak with the Emperor (a computer).
- 23Head for the oil rig.
- 24Talk to Chip (a man in considerable pain) and offer to find his spleen.
- 25Enter the room with computers, occupied by Badger (a vagrant in leather armor). Save your game.
- 26Enter the ladder downstairs. Kill all the critters.
- 27Go through the room requiring the FOB and install the navigation computer parts into the navigation computer.
- 28Return to where the critters were and find Badger's girlfriend in the northeast quadrant. Return her to Badger.
- 29Go downstairs again, near the forklift. Use the FOB to open the door to the left.
- 30Enter the room, climb the ladder, and use the computer parts on the computer on the right.
- 31Leave that area and return to Badger's computer room.
- 32Head to the tankers' bridge (to the right, up the stairs).
- 33Talk to the captain and ask about the ship. He will tell you it needs fuel to reach the Enclave base.
- 34Leave the tanker and head for Chinatown.
- 35Go to the Flying Dragon 8 store (with a brahmin pasture behind it) and talk to Lao Chou.
- 36Ask for info and state you are looking for a spleen. He will say he sold it to... (The source text cuts off here).
Tips
- The fights are scripted and can be buggy. Hitting an opponent once may result in a win, but they might attack you in the next fight.
- Fights can become hectic with multiple allied opponents. Combat can linger until death, potentially trapping you in the ring.
- Warning: Avoid saving the game during combat, as it increases the chance of getting stuck in the ring.
- The Emperor is a computer.
- The FOB (Keycard) is required to open a door on the oil rig.
