Alright, let's get you through the wasteland of Fallout 2! This guide lays out the path I usually take, hitting up all the important spots and making sure you don't miss out on anything crucial. Think of it as a roadmap to get you from Point A to Point B, with plenty of adventure in between.

The route below is what we'll be following. Some spots are marked with an asterisk (*), meaning they're optional, but I highly recommend checking them out if you can. They're great for leveling up or grabbing some sweet gear.

We'll try to get you that sweet Power Armor pretty early on. I won't assume you have it until we get to Vault City, but honestly, you *can* still do a lot of the early game without it – it'll just be a bit tougher. Once we get you that car, though, we'll be counting on that Power Armor being strapped on!

Speaking of the car, it's mostly for convenience. It makes traveling across the map way faster. There's no strict time limit in Fallout 2, so you *could* skip it, but why would you want to walk everywhere when you can cruise?

That Military Base? It's just in there for some extra experience points. Good for leveling up your character before you hit the really tough stuff.
